I love watching builds like this unfold (and bills like this unfold) but real questions:

What happens to a car like this after the show? Will it be driven much or is it too modified to be practical? Do collectors value and buy them as-is or will they be parted out piecemeal?

Thanks for any insight and good luck on hitting the deadline!

I've always wondered this as well. I've seen the manufacturer's builds get parted out and crushed. It's a damn shame.

But since the majority of these aren't manufacturer's builds I've always wondered what they do with them too.

I will be driving my car on the street and to local events. Hence reason why I got the cup kit
I actually plan on attending some SoCal events in 2019.. particularly Bimmefest 2019 for sure and perhaps other sport compact shows such as Wekfest and Spocom..

3D Bumper and splitter getting fitted..

Varis Japan upper & lower rear diffuser going on..

Varis hood got painted by LTMW in El Monte getting transported
**I didn't want to risk damage to my Varis hood so I did not reuse the OEM hood struts, instead I bought the M4 GTS hood dampers cause it is valved for the carbon hood better.**

Studio RSR roll bar and custom rear seat delete in carbon all installed

Willans 4pot Seat Harnesses arrived straight from the UK

EAS helped out big time with a tight deadline by taking care of the Brembo brakes, Bride seats, steering wheel, Moton coilovers install before we got down to Southern California

Pictures by EAS

If you're at SEMA.. stop by the RAYS Wheels / Mackin Industries booth inside Central hall #22913 for a look! I'll have more photos soon..
Picture by Sam @ Super Street

Unfortunately the Voltex Type 1S wing did not arrive in time for the transport to take the car, so the wing will be on next week, after SEMA.
