2018 M3 ZCP 6sp w/perf pckg

Just picked up an almost new 2018 M3 Competition in Alpine White.

Highlight options include executive package, M performance package, 763M wheels and a manual transmission. Oh and CarPlay - Obviously.

I was on a fence about getting an F80 M3 since it came out. I didn’t love the lack of the steering feel in the 2015 model I drove (back in 2015). I recently considered cars as nice as a 991.1 GTS and as wild as the Ford GT350. Both of those are EPS too. I kept coming back to the M3. Dealership experience and inflated prices on other options turned me to the M3 where great deals are to be had.

I fall in love with the car more and more with each drive. It’s exactly what I want. I have two kids and 4 doors makes life just easier than the coupes. The ZCP setup, 2018 updates and the MPE exhaust goes a long way to make this such a perfect everyday toy car. The manual feels less rubbery in the 2018 - maybe because it’s new. Steering is worlds better - maybe it improved since inception and in ZCP form.

Goal is to hold back on bootmod for at least a year or two. I just want to enjoy it as is. This gen’s M3 got a lot of hate from some of the old purists (including myself sometimes) but I cannot think of a car that would make me more happy right now.

It’s an event to drive - I haven’t had that feeling since my old 05 M3 ZCP.
