Anyone know?

For us HP and lb/ft people:
https://www.convertunits.com/from/hp/to/ps
624PS = 615HP....Very close, I always thought the PS numbers were way higher that HP.

https://www.convertunits.com/from/lb-ft/to/N-m
821NM = 605lb/ft...So maybe this was what I was thinking.

Is there a big difference in lag when moving to the 2+ or HF's as compared to the stock turbos?

BTW, I live in Germany, where is Peter of Pure Turbos Europe located?

So what is the flywheel figure. I always see wheel figures being quoted when dyno plot reads power is at the engine

Looking at this graph it looks like it actually made 550 hp at the wheels and 740 hp at the crank

So why does everyone quote like it actually mad the higher HP at the wheels?

Can bc someone explain this logic to me please.

ed i think thats showing the power increase between the previous tune and now the Pures.

i.e it was stage 2 550 and now 740. i dont think 1 is crank and other is wheel

The 740 is not an engine dyno number and the 550 they put down was likely a baseline.... Everything on that graph or any graph you see from dynapack, dynojet, and mustang dyno's are measured at the wheels.

Engine dynos and chassis dyno's are completely different.

Im not sure buddy... as they seem to be following the same path but obviously at a different level ..... if there had been a turbo change I wouldn’t expect the curve to look exactly the same but just at a higher level.... or maybe wrong?

Yeah I know this but just trying to understand why the dynos state engine power on the graphs but everyone quotes wheel power?

Even at a 10% transmission loss , which is pretty low, the car with 740 would have 810 hp at the fly/crank.... so just short of double the OEM cars power for those mods from a standard engined car........ something just isn’t right there imo.... would love this clarified

You're overthinking it. Everyone quotes wheel power, because it's quite literally being measured at the wheels. Search up any of those dyno's and you will see where the measurement is being taken. To measure crank/flywheel HP, the engine would need to be pulled from the car and put on an engine dyno.

I have always understood that you have roughly a 15% drivetrain loss through RWD. With that being said, you're looking at about 870HP. I don't understand what you think isn't right....? Many cars can over double the factory HP on a stock engine with forced induction and fueling.

Google is your friend, man. Might want to search to find any further answers you're looking for as we are taking away from the purpose of this thread.

Double the stock output is perfectly normal and has appeared or as near as it makes no difference appeared in this thread many times. Who knows how many more times not mentioned.

Let's get back on topic. Great thread!!

That torque curve is really impressive. Bang for the buck 2+ has it on lockdown.

are you guys running a port injection fuel system to hit these mid 600 numbers on pump gas? or just the stock fuel system ?

I'm aiming to be at mid 700s with upgraded turbos on pump gas.

is that possible with the port injection and upgraded turbos?

Pretty sure you'll need meth injection to get there.

will full akraprovic exhaust system be good enough for the ps2+ ? Or do I have to get some other exhaust that flow better? Any recommendations?

VRSF catless downpipes, single mid into comp muffler flows and sounds great. Akra works too but is way pricey
