Ecutek is a great flash tuning platform. I used it on my BRZ with flex fuel. It is too bad I just sold my dongle, cable, and bluetooth interface. I wonder if they plan to release RaceRom with custom tables support.

Interesting, makes you wonder if BM3 will jump on the flex fuel wagon now too.... If so, I can see a lot of happy tuners and owners in the future

It's a shame that they don't provide access to tune yourself unless you are a registered ecutek tuner.

Adding GreatWhiteM2 as believe he is looking into the solution as well.

PS: as I have stated before imo there will be a few that will jump ship once there is true flex fuel integration.

End User Tuning isn't something they have planned at the moment.

EcuTek plans full RaceRom support, so Flex Fuel and other goodies are coming.

I see a familiar name. 👍

I read all of the public documentation and see they are putting BMW in the premium tier for flash points like the GT-R. Given the pro tuner only restriction (not a bad thing), I hope to see they will be as ambitious when adding features as they have been with the GT-R.

What racerom features have been implemented so far? Have you been able to add settings for stuff like burbles, cold start, boost reduction in the ecu connect app for end users? You can pm me if that is easier. Not sure if you are a vendor here yet.

haha, yes I've been quiet but I'm in love with my M3.. Prefer that over a GTR any day except when needing big power because the GTR does that the best!

So RaceRom is what EcuTek calls their custom code. Nothing super exciting right now but EcuTek doesn't like to cut corners so they are building from the ground up. For right now the only custom code that the ECU has is installed during the unlock process. This code allows very quick non-ethernet programming and the ability to read out the ecu using OBD2.

EcuTek is being quiet about things but the RaceRom stuff you're referring is going to come, proof of concept was done last year. EcuTek is going to do whatever the market is calling for. So if there's something you or someone wants being vocal about it helps!

Flex Fuel, Valet Mode, On-The-Fly Map Switching, On-The-Fly adjustable boost control are likley the things to see the light of day first. I want some boost control stuff done similar to what was done on GTR but since that's a little more complicated I dont know if and when that would happen.

No I'm not a vendor on here but I'm also not selling anything so I dont think it should be a problem answering some questions.

ECU Connect can read/clear codes, datalog, guages and do a performance test.

Burble, Cold Start etc is all part of the tuning. EcuTek has access to all the maps that need to be tweaked.

When RaceRom stuff is done if there was a demand I'm sure adjusting burble and cold start could be done using ECU Connect App.

This is pretty exciting for us. Our in house tuner has tons of experience with ECUTEK, he's very eager for this to drop!

Currently it's overpriced for what they offer at the moment...however they promise a lot of future improvements with the RaceRom package like on the fly boost adjustment, true flex fuel, and whatever the majority of users are asking for.

It has my interest but for me to make the move I'll want to see the flex package.

Anyone who also used this platform on their GTR would be just as excited as I am

Very excited indeed for RaceRom.

Would be awesome when DI upgrades are available so aftermarket turbo guys can ditch PI.
