Whats everyone running on 666

Hi Everyone,

Changing out my OEM tyres.

Curious to know what people are running on their 666 rims?

MPSS
4s
others?

Im based in Melbourne, so if you can also recommend a tyre shop too that would be handy

Ta

My next set of tires will be MP4s or cup2s.

You can run Cup2 on rears, but no sizes to suit front (the Porsche "N" in 245 doesn't have enough meat). It's all good until you track it, and the 4S' can't handle high temps on track and will go off in a session - please see exhibit A:

Goodyear are coming out with Supersport R - in sizes to suit 666M, and reviews have pegged it slightly better than Cup2s!

Yokohama AD08r’s. They are better than Cup2, less noisier than them as well for daily driving but not as quiet as mps4s

hi
i would say tyre choice depends on what you want from them.
i trashed my MPSS fronts in 1 track day and replaced with MP4s, i believe that ride and noise was improved.
bought a spare set of wheels with cup2 for the track.

Did you really just post a link of a tyre review for a FWD underpowered turbo 4cyl hatch?

Post a link of a tyre review comparing the two for a turbo 6cyl RWD high powered BMW.

Tyres work in totally different dynamics for two vastly different chassises, suspension set up, etc etc.

I have personally tried the Michelin cup 2s and Yokohama ad08rs for track on my n54 335i that was pushing 320rwkw on e60. And the ad08rs are marginally better in terms of dry grip, last longer because has 4mm more tread, quieter etc etc. Have yet to try them on the m3.

Se7en:
The guys a tosser and all his replies and threads are just a big wank.
Clearly he never has any experience in tracking or driving which is why he is always posting up about what to do on a track day and what tyres to put on and always has to emphasize that he owns a CP M3 and how much cars he has etc etc etc. You can clearly tell at how good he is at the track by that video clip of him he posted already. Cant take the apex, completely understeers and cannot keep up and bags a C63s all day in other posts just to be videotaped being raped by one on a track. well done so called "My name is Player".
Oh and that link he post goes to show his arrogance and stupidity.

You need 19's on the front for the track to help reduce understeer. That's why the CS and GTS don't run 20" front wheels. You could get a couple of 437M front wheels and run those at the track.

Just upgraded from the PSS's to the PS4S, 265/30/20 on the front, 295/30/20 on the rear.

Substantial improvement in grip over the PSS's.

Good upgrade.
