You beat me to it. I was just going to say that everyone was complaining about the new name but now everyone is using it

Guess ///M really does stand for marketing.

Although it doen't look like it, I will say that it is a special edition E92 M3. Oh well, I hope it's an F82 or M6 GranCoupe though.

The next M3/M4 is going to be a 3.X second car to 60. Why, the current M3 is already low 4's and has pulled an (outlier) 3.9. Lighter and more power with wider and better tires will mean BMW will quote 4.X but real world times will be 3.X. Now that being said I do wish folks would stop obessing about 0-60. It is more of a traction contest than a measure of what a car can really do.

Thank you H for the tease. Best render I've seen so far for the M4. Great work

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

What really shocks me is that there is an assumption this would be an ///M version of the Gran Coupe.

Is the Gran Coupe not 2 feet longer and much wider than a 3/4 series? How could one make this assumption based on the photos which truly represent a smaller car which would be more in line with it being a future 4 series.

There's no assumption made that this is the M6 Gran Coupe, only that such a shape with a coupe silhouette could possibly only be two known upcoming 'coupe' style M models - the F82 M4 coupe and M6 Gran Coupe.

There's no tape measure or other car next to the mystery model, so scale and size are not as easily discernible as you make it seem. The analysis however, eliminates the the M6 Gran Coupe as a possibility in favor of the M4 coupe.

It was not the Gran Coupe M6.
Talked to someone who knew more about this it was the M4 and the showing was not for the general public just internal only.
Although somebody had the intention of prolonging his stay in the toilet so he could walk out and catch them setting up. However he did not count on the security leading him out a fire exit.

scott26 I know you probably love your job but if all 134,401 members here donate you $10 you could just give us all the pictures and info we need. We would all appreciate it. You can even charge ///M owners a ///M tax of like $2. $1,344,010 should hold you over until you find another career. lol
