I'm sorry but the M3 should come with Carbon Fiber interior trim anyway for what their freaking charging.

Just noticed *Limited to 20 Units. Well then that's cool, the more the merrier.
All M3/4s already do come with CF trim. I'm not sure why this is listed as an upgrade.

Your F80 comes with a knee pad. And it has 2 more doors and seating for one more than an M4 so you made the right choice

The door handles/knee pad in individual colors/stitching is a separate option you can order and isn't included with upholstery in individual color/stitching which is probably why it gets listed. I probably would have overlooked that there was a dedicated knee pad if that option wasn't spelled out for my order.

Saw this today at the dealership in Stuttgart. Some thoughts on it: The wheels are more like a matte gray, which I thought looked pretty cool. The paint job is really nice. The stitching on the headrests is god-awful and the stitching wasn't anything to be excited about. The vehicle that I saw was the first of only 20 made. So is it worth the price tag? Fk no it isn't, but it's not a bad looking vehicle at all--just get rid of that velocity stitching from the headrest!!

This isn't new in the auto industry. As long as it's fixed, maintained, re-paint or tune everything must go along with the business

M3 Edition Velocity

This is a very nice looking M3. A few things:
- Velocity is simply the speed at which something travels and the M3 does travel quickly.
- Putting the name aside, the Individual Paint and Interior plus the Competition Package are about $15K over the normal M3 price. So not outrageous at all.
- All 20 of the Edition Velocity are laser etched with 1/20. While there are only 20 of this Edition they all are number 1 of the 20. So no super collector value there - nor are the VINs indicative of the edition sequence number.
- The color, Fashion Gray, is a quite unique color that must be seen in person to fully appreciate - kind of like Sakhir Orange II, or Hockenheim Silver.
- This Edition Velocity comes fully loaded. The only option not installed is the Active Blind Spot Detection. So, for the $80,200 price tag one gets a well equipped BMW M3 Individual......that just happens to be a special edition.
- And no one is ripping off or taking advantage of the military. The US Forces did not get any of the 'special' models offered back home. Nope, we could not get the CS or 30th models under the Military Sales Program. So, this is just a bit of a special deal for the US Forces stationed in Europe.
- And if one wants to believe that a company like BMW needs to build 20 special cars to clear the parts bin......please think that through...I mean really.
- For me, any M3 built is a collector car of sorts. I mean does anyone really need to pay the price they pay for an M3 or any other M car, I think not. But we do because we love the M Cars. In my eyes, each and every one of the M Cars is special.....especially the M3.
Have a nice M Car day !

We saw this in a a showroom towards the back of the local dealership here in Germany. Listed at $80,200 it was overshadowed by one near Baumholder, Germany being listed for $70,200. I really think its the color throwing buyers off - it wasn't even mentioned when we went to look for an M car last month though I was set on the LBB M2C anyways.

Still unsold a year later? That says a lot! They should've made it with special cloth seats, no headrest stitching, CCBs, 6MT and a mild tune.

Right!?! You'd pay about the same or a tad less by just going Individual. This is what I'm talking about BMW. Ridiculous whoring!!!

I mean, I'd rather pay 80K for the velocity than 80+K for those things posted all over the front page... They'll probably get it.
I must be one of the only people who thinks the G80 looks better in pictures too. In person they're a complete mess.

Paint and decals, nothing more…last few Competition versions on Bring A Trailer went for no more than $60K, with less miles.
