Left or right turn signal.

When passing turn on your left turn signal. When letting someone pass turn on your right turn signal and stay to the right to let them safely pass.

It was a joke but I guess wasn't a good one. I was referring to the public judgement on BMW drivers such as "BMW drivers never use their indicator", "they are not aware of their car has one" or "they don't even know what an indicator is" etc.

Painfully slow to watch

Maybe okay for tourists but zero interest for drivers

Love the video, 2016 was my first ride on the Nordschleife and I loved it. One hint that may be worth mentioning.. I booked co-driver to sit in on all my laps, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. He was safe but still showed me where I can push the car a little. I also found that I was so focused on what's ahead that he had to tell me to move over for faster drivers because I'd never have noticed them otherwise.

This was a great video! I wish I had it before I drove on the Ring, it was a bit hard to find the entrance the first day I was there.

I did the same thing my first two laps, I basically let everyone pass until I felt comfortable going for it, even then I know I let a few pass lol at least I did pass some people on my last few lapse.

I encourage everyone to do this if you go for Euro Delivery. You can rent a car there if you dont want to drive your own. I waited till I had over 1200 miles on my car and had done the break in service before I went and it was so worth it!!

Arrow New things at the 'Ring this year...

This weekend was the first opening of the Nordschleife for this year. Dale from BtG made a new "Noob" video bc some things have changed this year at the 'Ring. NOTE: the new ticket office and THREE toll gates now. You can also buy your 'Ring tickets via an App on your phone.

I drove my F80 in May 2015 on the Ring, had a blast. I was on the Ring again a few months ago in a rental and I used the Green Hell Driving App, which allows you to buy laps along with other features.

If you use the app, I still recommend you park your car in one of the lots and walk around and look at all the cars. The driving culture there is awesome and you'll see a bunch of great cars.

I am planning my ED and would really like a nice photo of me & my car on the carousel. I have read that there are sometimes photographers there and you may get lucky, but is there any way to check in advance?

if there are no photogs there that day, does anyone have a map or instructions for getting to the spot on foot so that my passenger can take the photo for me?

Thanks much!

On any afternoon that the 'Ring is open to TF(Nürburgring Touristenfahrten) laps... there are tons of photographers there. Here you can find many websites that you can find photos of your car when you drove the 'Ring.

Nurburgring tourist photos...
https://www.google.de/search?q=nurbu...hrome&ie=UTF-8

Brünnchen aka YouTube corner is a favorite place to watch the TF cars wiz by.
https://www.google.de/maps/place/Br%....0060158?hl=en

I always like to watch from Pflanzgarten bc its not so crowded and its easy to park across the main road from the track viewing area.
https://www.google.de/maps/place/Nor....9998306?hl=en

Nürburgring for Dummies...
http://www.heiser.net/documents/nurburgring/

Also... don't forget to stop by ED Tankstelle... (gas station) they have some awesome Ring gear and a tons of model cars(1:43 & 1:18 scale) for sale. Its a nice place to go for a snack or to car spot from too. Often times test cars will go there for fuel.

If you are there on a public day, it is very likely that a pro-photographer will be there shooting. Check out the links suggested!

This one was from Martin Stollenwerk

HAVE A GREAT TRIP!

And to add to this, with the new account system and app, you also have an option to also get your laps on a basic card that is connected to your account so whatever laps you buy from the website, will show up on your card.

I got mine from Apex but there are several companies that rent out cars or drivers. RSR (Ron Simmons Racing) is one where I got a passenger in the past as well.

Cheers

I believe they have relaxed the no camera rule this year. In the past you had to hide it... or some guys would pull over and stop on the NS/track just after the toll gate. This year it seems that everyone has a camera and no one says anything.

Maybe Elsabor67 would know for sure? He is more of a 'Ring ho then I am.
