likely its just springs. recalibrated shocks. unique wheels. possible a slight power bump via software. almost certainly would be offered by BMW separately for more $$$. and most likely not offered with the F83 anyways so no worries on your end.

Exactly, may even be coupe only. If anything the F83 would get the option of the tune but will probably cost $$$ for what you get

Whatever it is I hope it's fantastic and plentiful upgrades. I'll need another car before the next generation M3 and the better the LCI/Comp. Pack is the better
Though I'm hoping to get into a 991 for my next car. I wanted one since I got my Scalextric version at age 5. I do want a NA flat six larger than 3l though and the 991 might be the last 911 where the base car has a flat six and a NA engine. Next car might be my best and only shot to get a new one, my oldest kid can sit in the front seat by then and my little one behind her in a child seat. Could work |

Remember reading it somewhere and that the results were satisfactory as compared to the U.S. version that has regulatory guidelines to follow. I've done a search but cannot seem to find it. Be nice if someone that has it can chime in.

I just don't think we will see any comp pack until 2017 model year. Anything after 2016 is too long for me and not worth waiting for (or paying for). If you buy or lease now, you'll have time to upgrade to the competition pack before this cycle ends. |

Even if I could justify the budget ( I can't ) the plan with one kid in the front and the other behind her would be a bit cruel, having to sit on the scaffolding
Are the NA 991 really dead at the mid cycle refresh ( 991.2 )? Pretty aggressive move to already dump the NA sixes reworked for the 991 with such complete success ( the 991 C2S seems to be the darling of pretty much every review and comparo ). I.e has this been officially confirmed by Stuttgart? Sorry for the slight OT. |

changed my baby on the wing of my RS. makes great changing station. make sure paint protection film is covering it. I say go for it while you can! also when they are small they fit well in back of a 911. once they are about 9 then they are no longer viable rear seat passengers.

I like FI but I pefer NA and for me the 911 has always been a NA flat six and that would be my first choice even if I'm well aware of the turbos. My first drive in a 911 was a NA air cooled beauty and I still remember it as it was yesterday ( over 20 years ago..), Maybe I need to go for a CPO since I'm not ready to trade my F80 yet. Not the same though, I like to be the only owner of a new car. Pity. |

So many people are just waiting for the ZCP, why does BMW feel the need to dribble out these packages over time, when all they're doing is stalling sales and perhaps losing them to Audi, Mercedes if people get fed up from waiting and decide to try an AWD model (Audi, Merc). I think BMW should just offer all their packages, like ZCP, from the beginning and let the market order what is demanded.
This is coming from an E90 ZCP owner who wouldn't upgrade to an F80 until ZCP is introduced. |

has anyone noticed the AY M4 in the background of the M2? That's likely the COMP package. If they are testing, it's likely a power boost. Plus, gotta keep separation from the M2. Link below

I agree there is no other reason to test an exciting model unless there are changes to come however; there is no way to tell the details of these changes.

Friend of mine with the F80 got so frustrated with the MDM, he just runs traction off on the track now. Not sure what the difference is this time around, the US version is historically more annoying, but this time we are hearing the same complaints from the Euro guys too.
