Full Merino or M Performance Rear Diffuser

So I have really been going back and forth on if I should change my order to include the full leather, I have yet to see the full leather in person but it seems everyone thinks it adds so much to the car.

With that said, I don't want to keep adding more into the car and going above what I was budgeting for. I had planned on getting the M Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser and yes I know that is cheaper but, should I forget about the diffuser and then get the full leather? I could always add the diffuser down the road but you can't go full leather after the fact.

Is is really worth the extra $$, I should also note I have never seen the read diffuser on in person nor have I seen Tanzanite Blue so Im not sure it would even stand out.

I will have the mirror caps, spoiler, front splitters and lower lip in TZB for sure.

Thanks for the help.

I was in a similar boat with budgeting and trying to stick with a plan, but then I rode in a 5 series and was so unimpressed with the plastic dash so I just couldn't not order it. Like you said, you can't add/retro fit a full leather option later but you can add the diffuser at anytime.

Do it and don't regret not getting it in the end over a few bucks/month extra!

I would defo get the full leather as it is worth every penny for making the inside more special. Like you say you can save up for fitting the rear diffuser or other M Performance goodies but you can't go back on the leather dash without considerable outlay. I'd say lose the mirrors too if you were going for cf ones...

I put the full leather option on my car and, in Uk money, option was £1,300 but adding it increased the residual by £500. Only relevant if you're financing it though.

Also, it makes a huge difference to the interior feel, more high quality, and it's the part of the car you will see the most so makes sense to me to upgrade it if you can. You can always add mPerf bits at a later date but you can't add the full leather without huge expense and ballache.

Get all of it. I would never buy a car at this price point minus nice interior.

Full leather. You can always get the diffuser down the road.

Full leather is the no brainer option in this debate. Go read the "favorite option" threads and see how many people that checked the full leather box consider it their favorite option.... And how many (not all) regret not getting it.

If you have to select one, full leather is the hands down must do. You will never regret it, and this will be reinforced every time you get in the car.

I just leather conditioned my full interior and it was definitely a labor of love, and looked phenomenal afterwards.

To me, that diffuser costs too much for what it is. If one or another, I'd definitely pick full leather over MP bits.

Full leather and please at this point just respond that you're going to get it instead of the diffuser. You're only going to get more responses saying the same thing.

Full leather is something you will see and appreciate much more than a CF diffuser.

Thanks for the inputs, I had already pretty much came to the same conclusion but was looking for that reinforcement. Knocking the diffuser off the list is only a compromise to save a few bucks and my way of convincing myself to add the extra $2.5K for the leather. I'd not get the mirror caps too but I already own them and they are on my current M3.

I won't even save that much as the quote for the diffuser from a German dealership was a lot lower than you can get in the states.

Gonna call my service consultant tomorrow and ask to make the change. I have a 13 Jun production week so I hope it is still doable to make the change. I'd be worried about the production getting pushed and then into MY17.

Hmm that's mighty tight. Call asap in the morning, I'd be surprised if this doesn't change the production date now? Definitely the right move however, Full Leather is lovely and the CF diffuser can be added.

Full Leather is a must. Totally makes the interior extra special. You can alway slap on a diffuser when the time is right. I bought my diffuser a few months after getting my car.

You can always put on a diffuser later.

Hey!

Excellent!

No doubt -> "Full Leather"!

Ditch:

__* The C.F. Mirror Caps as they are now "Made in China" And, didn't get any cheaper.
__* The Lower Lip. Forego re-paving the asphalt with your hard earned cash. More so,
if you were planning on the C.F. one, because it will easily get scraped!

Cheers!

Full leather is the only way to go. The SS pedals are a bonus. My wife laughed that I got them as I'm the only one that notices ;-)
