Looking for a phone mount similar to this for the E46

This is made by Bimmian, but for some reason they don't have one for the F80. It mounts under the dash trim.

me too. did some research and i dont think they make them anymore for the newer cars

Unfortunately that one sucks. First is it blocks the air vent. Second is blocking the iDrive display.

I am running a quad lock on my iphone 8 plus.. it mounts to my windshield and it literally never comes off, even on launches it holds my phone great even for it being a brick.

That mount was made by Panavise, popular in earlier models.

Here's your choice of bases:

- Proclip
- Panavise
- Bracketron
- Kuda

I like this! I wish it was just a mounting plate though, so I could mount the proclip on it.

Well it comes with the ball mount, so does the Proclip have a ball option?

What does it look like? Pic?

Proclip is ball mounted to it's own adapter, but I'm not sure if it's standard or proprietary.

Is it possible to install it on the other side of the dash? Closer to the driver. Will the magnet swivel enough to point the phone back at the driver if possible to mount there?

No, the bracket is only designed to mount to the right of the radio.

Your only limiting factor will be the side of the ball that comes with the mount. I can measure that tonight and let you its diameter.

Order a RHD drive mount.

Ball diameter is 16.75mm.

It should- works on the F80 (I have a Rennline).

Great! Out of curiosity, how did you know it would fit? Or did you just hope it would? I ask because after posting my question, I called the company and asked tech support. They didn't know if it would fit or not, but offered me 15% back if I ordered it and it did fit and I sent them pics. And if not, they would refund and pay for return shipping so they would know either way.

I think it's just based on the fact that the dash setup on an F80 and F82 are the same.
