To each his own, but I'd rather drive my M3 than a 14 year old almost anything.
Congrats? |

Public transportation is my beater car. I spend most of the winter months in Manhattan and keep the closest thing I have to a beater car (Porsche Cayenne GTS) garaged there and only take it out to go to my home in Lime Rock CT. I have winter tires for it but I rarely if ever drive it in the snow with the notable exception of Winter Autocross at Lime Rock Park. The M4 and my other cars are in storage for the winter and will come out at the end of this week. I am OCD about the care of my cars including my "Beater" Cayenne. It is more my 'practical" car than my "beater" car although it does suffer the indignity of trips to the local dump.

Mini Cooper S. I hate to leave the F80 at the train station from a safety perspective. I drive the F 80 to work once a week 140mi round trip).
The Mini is awesome and a reminder of less is more and how much fun hatchbacks are. |

My weekend. 458 with tubi exhaust. lowered on novitec springs and spacers. M3 6mt for the manual itch. Errands around town. Date night. And so I can cruise at night without waking up all my neighbors. 09 civic for going to work and back (80 miles round trip x 5 days a week), bad weather, road trips, being inconspicuous lol.

My daily beater! My 2nd i3 in a row, the best commuter I've ever had! 80 miles a day, no gas, free charging, carpool lane, adaptive cruise.
My M3 CS weekend car. Occasional work commuter to break the monotony. Weekend car for fun, and track.

Have you coded Traffic Jam Assist (poor man's autopilot) on the i3? Then it would be truly perfect.
