Exactly ... leave the "Power Dome" raw in some way shape or form to show off the carbon and then rock that thing

How is the fitment on the RW hood? I have heard it is usually a hit or miss. Never perfect like the OEM CS hood.

It is hit or miss. I was fortunate enough to get one with near perfect fitment. Very satisfied. If you get one i would inspect it prior to your purchase

Apparently in GF-land red BMW, CF bits, BBS wheel is all the same. 328 vs M3 no difference. Nice looking car OP maybe we'll have to upgrade her at some point.

GF "twin" pics hahaha.

I agree, but this cage is very tucked up in the roof and suitable for street driving. Even if i were to get into an accident i wouldnt hit my head. I sit pretty low as well. Also being paired with a 6 point harness i will be A OK! I will post pics of the cage after seats are installed

I did my first track day a couple of years ago and was hooked immediately. Since then, job changes, two children, and a new home have forced me to put my new hobby on pause.

For the last year, I've been slowly prepping my M240i for getting back out there. I'm 32 years old and in no rush. I most recently bought a tow vehicle, custom Cobra bucket seats, and a fire extinguisher for my car. Will I too face the jealousy comments if I dare to post pictures of my car online before I actually hit the track with it? Sadly, I'm sure I will.

Quit hatin' folks! It's a bad look for you.
Thanks man! I love this reply. So vulnerable and honest. Yeah im waiting till i get my seats and harnesses before i really track the car.

No issues! Studio RSR did a great job at making the cage safe to street. Im about 5'11" and sit more on the lower side. The cage is tucked into thee roof really well and really isnt in the way of anything. If i were to be in an accident i wouldn't get close to the cage unless i rolled. But with 6 point harnesses and a bucket seat i wouldnt move out of the seat enough to hit the cage.

it's all fun and games until someone hits their head on a bar..

What's even more of a concern is there is not even a single bit of padding on the bars that I can see. While OP does have a couple of items.. a true race car will have the following aids to assist so that a driver doesn't hurt themselves making contact with the vehicle, starting with the furthest item from the bars.

properly mounted race seat- preferably with halo -
six point harnesses - OP
driver's side and/or passenger side window net
roll bar padding
helmet - OP

@Quiet F80 as an FYI.. fashion colors are available.

See my above posts for an explanation on why this cage is not a problem for me. Although, yes i am looking into padding. Just want to find a white one. Thank you for linking. The build isnt done its just a progress post on where I am now until more mods are done. Thanks!

That is correct. Few posters already explained why. No problem
if he had it padded this wouldn't be as much of an issue
The build isnt done. I never said padding would never be installed. Just a progress post.
