Torque specs for AA mid pipe install?

PLanning to install my AA mid pipe this weekend. I have new copper nuts and new gaskets, just in case.

Does anyone know the TQ secs for all of the bolts?

Also, do I even need new gaskets? I got the two donut gaskets, but not the metal one.

I've got mine waiting to install also and from what I've seen it's best to replace all the gaskets.

ugh, I think im going to go ahead and try it as is, and just redo it later if I get any leaks/rattles. I've already delayed it two weeks.

You’ll be fine without the metal one. Just clean it up before you reuse it.
The donut ones you do need.

Don’t worry about the torque specs much. See that the donut gaskets are properly squeezed. You’ll see it when you’re down there

Hey Tommy! I've watched your video on the rattle at least 5 times! Just hoping I dont run into broken/rusted bolts since my car is a 2015 and has lived up north until I had it shipped to Louisiana a few months ago.

Get under there the night before and soak them in wb40 or other rust removers.

Get small metal drill bits just in case.

Ok guys, even tho I sprayed the bolts down the night before with pb blaster, I was unable to get them lose.

What size are the nuts? I tried 11mm, and it seemed to fit, but spun when trying to remove them. I was able to hammer on a 10 mm, but again it just started to strip when I tried to remove them.

They are definitely rusted solid.

Not really sure what I can try next short of drilling them out.

Hey mate,

Best thing to do is get a blow torch of whatever kind, those decent hand held ones will do the trick.

Heat the bolt right up, the difference in expansion rate between the bolt and the pipe will crack it lose.

Old trick that very rarely fails.

WD-40 usually cuts that rust right out of the equation, I would've let that soak in first and cleaned it off then hit it with a socket. At this point, you might need to get a dremel and cut it...or a high speed drill and matching strength bit to drill it out.

Tommy L's video above highlights having to deal with this.

Soak them in PB blaster/Krol oil then heat them with a heat gun good and hot. Then with a long extension and 10mm 6pt socket tap it on the nut. That will shave the rust off. Then ease it loose with a small socket. If you are too aggressive you will snap the bolt
