You guys think larger dealers will get two M3 allocations? My friend that works at a dealer wants me to cancel my out of state allocation to order from him locally instead. I'm first after the launch car for the out of state deal, but if I did it locally there is one person ahead of me after the launch car. He swears they will get 2 allocations, he showed me the order bank they get 2 allocations of every other M car. Sure he would give me the best deal but I won't have a car from middle of May to new M3 and can't wait longer. What u guys think?

I would keep your spot. Personally I would be concerned about leaving something that is already set in place for a situation that could have more and/or different variables. I placed my order (launch car) at my dealership a long time ago and my production week is the beginning of May. I haven't changed a thing and I am not going to.

I haven't gotten a production date. Is it on order sheet or are you getting launch car?

It is a launch car (launch supply) that I spec'd to my liking (my order with my name on it as customer sold and a production number on the print off). It is status 112 at the moment. I sold my 2012 E92 M3 back in September and got this ball rolling last summer so it has been a long, long wait. Hopefully I will have the car in June or latest July.

Is your out-of-state dealer a "certified M dealer" ? I've been looking to buy out of state from a dealer in the middle of nowhere but having a hard time finding a Certified M dealer

Honestly I hate the dealer he works at. Horrible service. Told them 16 times not to wash the car last time I was there. He wrote it on he repair order in big letters 3 times......still got washed. Everyone has a attitude there too.

P.S. I want to make clear that the press drives referred to in the timeline is the U.S. press drives.

It would be good to have the date when individual colors will be available on the timeline and what colors are to be included in the "cheaper" set of individuals . I've heard July for this set of idividuals but is that July production slots or is it when the order system will accept them and thereby for production slots in August and onwards? I'm hoping for an ED pickup in early August which I guess mean production slot in July. Is there a chance that I will be able to pick one of the pre-selected individual colors?

Can anyone tell me is it possible to request a specific leather color interior - I am after the M4 convertible and really prefer the "Golden Brown Extended Merino" leather option currently available for the 435i convertible on the UK BMW Configurator. The 3 leather colors other than black available on the M4 Configurator on the same site have no appeal for me - really hoping there are other Individual options or that I can specify the Golden Brown color for my US market car?

You will have to wait for ordering guide. At that point you will be able to see what standard interiors are available. If your color is not offered you can go the individual route for $5k

I just got a called from my dealer in SF Bay Area, Ca ...
the info I got is their "luanch vehicle" will be on production on "week 16" ..
My order will be on "week 25" production ...
I was asked to send in my order ASAP ..

My question is ...
what date is week 16, 25 ? count from Jan 1st as the week #1 ?
from production to my dealer show room, how long will take ??
Four weeks ? six weeks ?

Thanks ...

I have been trying to figure out what the production numbers and weeks mean. Please do not be confused as I am and given me some answers, LOL>

I have placed an order for ED for late July or early August (3 dates submitted). The dealer says it went from 111 to 105 and R status for ED. From what I read in another older post, status 105 means order outside of the production date. I called BMW and asked for the status myself with the production number. They told me that the order has been accepted with July week 14 production date.

I just do not 100% trust the salesman's knowledge about these things. would appreciate input if you have any! ...and does anyone know which week of July week 14 is?

My production is scheduled for calendar week 24 (which is the second week of June).
Should fit perfectly with the pickup date
