AWE Non-Res Switchpath Exhaust Installed
After a few months of deciding on which exhaust to get, I finally decided on the AWE Switchpath.
Like pretty much everyone else who is looking at this exhaust, the next decision was whether to get the resonated or non-resonated version. I was leaning towards the non-res, so I called up Eurotech Motorsports in Mahwah, NJ, they had one in stock and my mind was made up. I am super happy with this decision and there really isn't anything more I can say about the exhaust that hasn't been said already in Money2536's thread : http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1092607 IMO his videos are very accurate to how the exhaust sounds in person. Working on getting a video of my own together, here is a preview: |

I have the same. I love the sound it makes when the boost builds up and you let go of the gas.

i assume that you are running stock downpipes?
it's a toss up between the non-res and the MPE. any drone with the non-res and stock/catted downpipes?

There is absolutely no drone at any RPM. I read that this set up wouldn't have drone, but didn't believe it until I heard for myself. |

sounds great!
Question, I think I read in another thread some felt a loss of power / tq. (butt dyno wise, not a real loss), did you feel this difference? Apparently it might feel this way because of the wider piping overall. |

The resonated is less louder and the sound is cleaned up a little more. It is more refined and controls the rasp even more, sounds deeper. The non resonated is the opposite but both systems have no drone and both sound real good with the non resonated being a bit louder and more aggressive, little more rasp and not as deep.

It's the sound you expect to be accompanied by a small burst of combusted exhaust gases (fire!).
