Originally I had my sights set on an AMG GT. But lately, and this may sound crazy, I've been thinking about getting something much cheaper and slower like a Miata or an S2000.
I feel like I am missing a certain joy of driving that comes with revving out and shifting a lightweight, low-powered 2-seater. The kind of car you can go 10/10ths in all the time if that makes any sense. |

Yo!
I do have a dream of owning an individual color BMW with a cool custom build. Or a Jahre, as I love that color. But those are still mighty expensive, and I will more likely never get there as I work on the ski and bike industry.... I will more likely be forced into an AWD car again, as my wife is already super pissed the M3 isn't AWD. She thinks I "snuck" it under her radar when I traded the M240ix. Which I had no intention of doing, but she wears the pants so there's that. But I cringe at the offerings on the AWD side these days as the choices are limited. I just did a massive search for anything that made sense, and the only car that really caught my eye was a Polestar wagon. The wife will more likely try to demand an electric car. Which if I can convince her, the i4 M50 would more likely be my first choice. But again, pricey.... josh |

In my opinion it's in the realm of too fast for the street. Between 350-400whp is the sweet spot for me. It also does not crawl well at all. The crawl speed feels like 4-5 mph which is really annoying in stop & go. The new BRZ/GR86 seems like a pretty good buy at the moment. I think they nailed it for what it is.

I just picked up my F80 a few months ago but I'm going to keep this as my daily until it breaks down lmao. My next car purchase would probably be the 991.2 GT3 as a weekend only. But that means future gf/wife would have to park her car outside

I'd absolutely love a GT4RS but it's a little out of reach for me realistically for a while. I'd also really love a Lotus Emira, which is probably more realistic for me, but that all depends on if I become practical and get a truck/suv to log more miles in than my current fleet.

Honestly, my next car is to watch my F80 become cooler with time. I specked it out exactly how I wanted. Once it can't be driven anymore I'll submit to what ever woke EV is the least shitty.

I'm thinking to just keep my f82 long term as a daily and pick up a gt4RS or gt3 next year. it's my18 and I've already racked up nearly 60k miles. the Porsche would be a weekend car. f82 is too fun to get rid of

Won't be looking until the summer of 2023 when my F82 comes off lease. At that point, I'll see what the market looks like. My buyout is ridiculously low by today's pricing standards, but I have a feeling that may change when the supply shortage subsides. If used car prices are still elevated I'll probably buy my car out and keep it for a few more years. I really love the car! If normalcy returns to the market and I hand the lease back in, I'm looking at 3 specific cars:
-The new M2 (competition). This is really the only BMW I'd probably buy anymore. The G8X is fugly and huge. The M5 is too big, too pricey but it's a looker for sure. -The new Lotus Emira. I love the way it looks and I know it will handle like a go kart. Strictly just a toy and no everyday functionality though. -New 911 Carrera S. Kind of the sweet spot between the two mentioned above. Slightly more practical than the Emira, but less so than the M2. The downside is it will definitely stretch the budget. |

F82 is part of the permanent fleet. Only car I'd get is a RX-9 (but that car probably won't ever be made). Next up for me is the BMW S1000RR - on order. No immediate plans for a car as I'm really happy with my stable

I know its a 'downgrade' from my M3, but I'll add another car that I may be interested in getting: the GR Corolla - if it comes to the US. 6 Speed manual, 4WD, enough room for the kid(s), and an engaging ride, all for around $35k!

Same as this guy above me. I just purchased this F82 but I've always upgraded each car to something better whenever I'm ready to purchase my next car.
So I'm planning on keep the F82 for a long time but I might get another E92M as a fun car. I regret getting selling mine When it's time to get rid of the F82, it'll be for a Porsche of some sort.

I have had a lot of cars in the last couple of years including Nissan GTR, and Audi R8 Performance. I had a 2021 M4 and sold it after about 1,200 miles because I hated the sport seats with the carbon fiber and that hard carbon fiber thingy that sits between ones legs. It remined me of a speed bump for ones testicles.
Anyway, I currently own a C8 Z51 and a 2022 G82 that I am selling. I will be looking for a 2018 to 2019 M4. I used to own a 2016 and liked the car a lot F82. The G82 ecu is locked, and the car just never really did it for me. |
