There seems to be a lot of uncertainty about the availability of the new M Performance parts - especially the new M Performance Coilover System.

The BMW US press release "BMW at SEMA 2015. BMW M Performance. New inscription, new parts" states the following:

The all new BMW M Performance Parts will be available for the BMW M4 Coupé starting January 2016. All parts will be available at certified BMW dealers starting June 2016.

To me, this indicates that the Coilover System will be available, at least in the US market, from June 2016 - unless I'm misunderstanding the press release.

The coilovers for the m2 are 3k.. I'm assuming similar price.. Seems like a ripoff

Every time I see an update to this thread, my heart skips a beat hoping we finally have some official info being released or we finally have closure on a release date!

If it is like M2's suspension that cost 3k, then I would assume it might be a full system.

Maybe BMW is offering two versions of it. Then I would honestly actually swap my KW HAS out.

I believe the M2 "coilover" also includes revised dampers, hence higher cost.

The M3/4 system would be a HAS system only keeping the car's original dampers, so the cost should be quite lower.

coil-over option carried over from the GTS as well??

That will be available soon if not already available. It's a GTS tuned KW Clubsport 3-way. IND announced it.

Possibly, however not announced officially to be available through M-Performance.

The HAS M-Performance kit was officially announced.

I think I've also mentioned this before. After speaking to the M agents at the booth at SEMA who flew in from Germany, the coils will be sleeve overs, at least for the the F8X. They said pricing could compared to what is currently available at Dinan. Roughly $1600? Which actually makes sense.

No mention of a full coil-over during that time, at that booth though. Non were showcased either. Just the HAS. Doesn't mean we won't get one.

Thanks for the confirmation, I couldn't find the info anywhere !

However, if you want to use your car on the track you will probably have to change the dampers, as it was the case for the E92 GTS. From factory they are too much road focused, basically too soft. Logical since the car has to be street legal in a lot of countries and fit every customer. Just like the Recaro Profi XL in the E92 GTS. Too wide for a lot of customers, but this way almost everybody can sit into the car...
