The software most definitely changes the sound of the car. There are many things that can alter the sound such as fuel injection, valve and ignition timing I transferred the MPE from my previous M4 to my M4cs and it sounds very different on the CS. "Deeper" and "cleaner" is how I would describe it, with less rasp.

Are the 763m wheels that come with the CS orbit gray and then you can only order the 763m wheels in black and gold from BMW?

The orbit gray 763M wheels come standard on the CS. I've never seen black, but the gold 763M wheels are an extra M-performance wheel option. (Don't know why anyone would choose those. 6-7k$ extra just for the gold color and ///M-performance lettering)

Correct. Orbit grey 763M wheels are CS exclusive. Further, the CS wheels do not have the “M-Performance” marking on the rim.

M-Performance 763M are offered in either matte black and gold.

No point in getting these for a CS, but they are a nice upgrade for a non-CS, especially to replace the heavy boat anchor 666M.

Interesting that on the official CS ordering guide it says the rims are black.
