Did you look at similar cpo bmws? Im assuming warranty was 3-4k. Have you used it all yet. Im on the fence myself of buying an m3/m5/m6 from carmax with the maxcare warranty, for any mechanical issues. Anyone have any recommendations?

Curious to know what people have paid for a higher mileage (60k - 70k miles) M3 6MT? Are they going for Blue Book or is there a different market price for 6MT?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I just saw ( and almost bought) an M4 with 70k miles on this forum with asking $31k. It was a dct but you can see where the market is going with higher mileage cars. I believe someone bought a 6 speed M3 with 56k miles for about 35k. It was posted someone here or on the forum.

$47,250

2017 M3 ZCP manual (exec pckg) with 36K miles. Purchased from a dealership. Brand new Michelin Pilot Sports 4S. Clean car fax and single owner - probably a lease. Pretty sure the car was CPO originally at $56K but it wasn’t moving, so they removed CPO and dropped the price to $50K. It has 11 month of manufacturers warranty left. Runs great but has some rock chips on the bottom front of the body.

so the dealer knocked off $6,000 just by getting rid of CPO? CPO typically only adds one year of warranty... I would think it would be a better deal to ditch the CPO and just buy an aftermarket extended warranty at the dealer - I would think you could score a better deal and pay less than $6,000 for more than ONE more year of coverage???

so once you saw it listed at $50 you talked them down to $47250? nice deal!

is it really that important to find a car that is CPO? I have noticed that some dealers have their cars as CPO and some nice/clean looking used M3/M4s are on BMW dealer lots but are NOT advertised as CPO, but based on the condition of the car and mleage they likely could have.. are they doing this to avoid the price being too high? I wasn't really sure what kind of premium they are tacking onto the cars when they certify them... $6,000 seems kind of high...

Hi everyone, anyone been talking to dealerships lately? just wondering what they have been saying due to challenging times. I've been looking for a 2018 F80 and 2020 F87, both are around the same price, and wondering how much of a discount dealers are willing to give to move inventory.

I am currently looking for a CPO F80. I am seeing some dealers willing to do what is needed to get my business (virtual test drives, shipping, detailed pics/ videos etc.) while others are flat out saying they are closed and cannot help.

The car I was able to get a local dealer to ship in from another sister dealer is a 2017 Yas Marina/ Silverstone DCT with Comp and Exec package, no sunroof. 39k miles, CPO for $49k before tax/ registration etc. Thoughts on this deal?

I wonder how much of a premium you are paying for car to be CPO? What about just shopping for a really clean one that is not CPO and then buying a solid extended warranty ? Might get better coverage for less money.

Any thoughts on buying a used 2016 M3 from Vroom online? I found one silverstone/sakhir 6MT with 36k miles for $40k. Seems like a great deal.

I'd be curious to hear what people here say about vroom. I have read a review or two online saying bad things about them and Carvana - but it's just internet talk.

I'd be apprehensive to buy a car without being able to drive it / see it in person.

Considering it's YMB, Comp and CPO that seems decent, particularly for YMB as this color seems to be commanding more money. But, there are comps out there similarly priced with half the mileage, granted not CPO or YMB. Here's an example.

Idk about buying from Vroom, Carvana etc. but I'd say that is a 37k car tops considering base wheels, sunroof and no packages. It's essentially a stripper with leather. I think Vroom/Carvana price their cars 5-7% over value seeing as people will pay the no-haggle pricing to avoid all the dealer experiences while not having to leave their home.

what would you guys consider a good deal on this one? likely a trade in, as this is a Toyota dealer.j per Carfax it is a one owner car, sold in Oregon, later serviced in Vegas, and now sitting at a Toyota dealer in vegas. No one is gonna win a jackpot in Vegas this week and go buy an M3...

I have been tempted to just start lowballing dealerships to see if anyone would bite. I'm going to get an M3, but realistically I would rather buy 6-12 months from now.. but if COVID-19 results in some dealers dying to sell and selling dirt cheap, I"d move. I have seen some M3s at non BMW dealerships - like this one. I assume seller traded it in and dealer raped them and paid low KBB or worse for it.. ~$30k?? .. if they wanna move it, they may be highly incentivized to let it go way cheaper than normal?

or am I nuts and this car will sell for $40k or higher?

That seem like a fair deal, and its a six speed. If you can get it for 40k or lower that would be a steal .

Maybe I was wrong, just did a quick search and there are great deals out there, or M3 might just be cheaper on the East coast.

After reading this thread i'm starting to think I over paid a little

2018 M3
ZCP
6MT
Grigio Telesto
2900 miles
Full Xpel PPF

$68k

Dealer wouldn't budge on price since they just got it in. Didn't wanna miss out on the exact spec I tried ordering last year but couldn't since there wasn't any allocations left.

from looking at those ads, I would think i could easily find a 2016 with low to moderate mileage under $40k. bang for the buck, it seems like 2016 and 2017 are the sweet spot. they have depreciated more than 2018s, but they can still be lease returns that have 20-30k miles and don't look abused/modified. The cars in the mid 30s all look like they are old, no options, high miles, or they are at some sketchy dealer that is selling a problem car.

like all things in life you get what you pay for - but there is also a sweet spot where you maximize bang for the buck. I"m guessing it's cars listing in the mid 40s, that are 2017s that have 25-30k miles and in this bad $$ climate, you negotiate them down to 38-40k.

just a thought. i still don't know if I want a DCT or a Manual..

Wow!! After seeing some prices I am thinking twice of selling my 2016 silverstone metallic exec package M4 DCT to the dealership for 40K. 16K miles.
