275/30 and 285/30 Tires for 666M?

I tried the search function but couldn't find anything definitive. Has anyone tried 275/30/20 Front and 285/30/20 Rears? Looking to get either A/3+ or DWS 06 for the 20" wheels.

The temperature can swing between 30 and 50 in a single day so getting dedicated summers and winters is not an option where I live.

I sure would not put 275 on the front. Early on, people suggested the 275/295 combo (with 19") but the 275 were just too wide and a smaller size is suggested.

As you claim the temp swing (and thus Winter Driving) all the more reason to not go with 275 in the front.

I got a 2nd set of OEM 19s on DWS 06. There are no all seasons that fit 20s.

Even if it doesn't snow? Sorry I know nothing about tires...

I'm running 275/30/20 front, 295/30/20 rears. PS4S on 666 wheels. Stock suspension.

No rubs, no issues.

Depends on the car, F80 vs F82, there have been discussions on this in the past. The basic consensus seems to be that the coupes (F82's) don't have any rubbing up front with that size, but the sedans (F80's) do. That said, I have an F80 and still decided to try the 275's up front in that size using Continental ExtremeContact tires on my stock 666M's. I had some rubbing on the fender liner as expected. I got rid of the rubbing by taking a heat gun and a hammer to the plastic fender liner...

Yes. Doesn't really snow. If it did, I wouldn't take it out anyway.

It is a F82 so looks like the 275/30 will work on the front. Would it be terrible if I went with 285/30 in the rear? Only size for those A/S tires.

285 is fine for rear. The front is the issue.

Then again, get what you want.

275's may fit with the PS4's only -- summer tires only..using summer tires in the winter is dangerous and bad tire wear.. I'M NJ and we don't get that much snow here.. I have a another car for regular driving. stay clear from A/S3+ & Continental tire ( these wear out fast and road noise ). The A/S3+ I've had on my Camry and the it sucks i the rain and snow. I got replaced them with Pliot Primacy instead.

Are you running spacers or not (although spacers would seem to make the potential for rubbing possibly worse)? Anyway, your lack of rubbing with 20" 275's on an F80 makes you one of the "lucky" ones I guess. But you may want to check closer if you have not done so already as the rubbing is not really that bad and could possibly go unnoticed under certain driving conditions...

No spacers. Stock shocks. Stock height. At full lock, I don't hear the tires rubbing the fenders. But I'm sure they are almost touching

check your fender liners for a shiny spot, either front and/or rear sections (especially behind the vented coolers).

no spots. Even turning full lock either way,the tires don't touch the fenders at all. Both inside and outside tyre walls. Got off the car to check.

I have 285/30/20 PS4S in the rears (19's in front), lowered on MPHAS with anything more than a 5mm spacer will rub the fender on compression on stock camber. This is in a F80 M3 CS.

I found this thread insightful and helpful regarding different tire size options and trade-offs. Real-world trial and feedback.

Did you come from stock sizes? If so, what are you thoughts on the ride/grip? I'm thinking of going to 275/295 as well on my 666. Looking for feedback. Thanks!

Michelin makes the PA4 in 265/30/20 and 285/30/20. 400 bucks a tire though.

Yes from stock. So far I'm "happy". They stick better than PSS of the line, but still spin. I do think they are little more mushy. They still aren't great in rain, but better. If I could do it again, I might buy continental extreme sport contacts, just on price alone. I think they are overall better than PSS, but I think I expected more…
