Xpel install prices and quality in SoCal. Chime in if you have it.
Hey everyone,
I searched and searched, but couldn't find a thread comparing prices and quality of workmanship of installers in Southern California. I'm in Socal and trying to find the best quality installer, but I don't want to pay a big premium just because a shop caters to exotics. I can't be the only one that would like to see price comparisons and comments about installers in the area. Here is a list of recommended shops. Anyone have firsthand experience with them? I HIGHLY recommend PFS in Santa Ana. they just wrapped my car in a 3M Vinyl and the attention to detail was stunning. not to mention the fact that they answered my 1000 questions quickly and without any fuss what so ever. For vinyl they were a tad higher than other places I got quotes from but they were worth it (about 10% higher, very reasonable in my book for their quality). I would not hesitate for a second to take any future car of mine to their shop.

I got Suntek instead of XPel and it looks fantastic. Hit up Norbert at Crystal Autoshield in Signal Hill! Guys does a great job for a great price ~$1450 for full frontal coverage (bumper + headlights + entire hood + fenders + mirrors)

A lot of installers would tell you that they probably recommend Suntek PPF-C over Xpel Ultimate but Eric @ Envious Detailing did mine as well. He actually was the one that convinced me to choose PPF-C over Xpel so, since he is the expert and I did enough research to know he wasn't lying I went with Suntek PPF-C instead.

Suntek PPF-C done at GhostShield Film in Newbury Park - paid $2680 for full front, full roof, full rear bumper. They were asking $4K for complete car. They charge the same price for XPel. These may seem like high prices, but I am in SF so this is dirt cheap compared to what local shops charge around here. One shop close to me wanted to charge $2000 for just the front. GS did a great job and I highly recommend them.
