Question though. I purchased a M2 Competition used recently. For some reason, BimmerCode won’t work with my head unit. No idea why, others suggest it’s because the previous owner activated CarPlay.

Will your solution work and provide full screen in this situation?

Huge thanks for Wibbles for helping me with my issue. I wanted full screen CarPlay in my 2020 M2C and had some issues with BimmerCode. Wibbles walked me through resolving it.

Happy costumer here. Kuba promptly replied to my questions earlier this week. Ordered the wifi antenna from Amazon and installed it today. Used my laptop and enet obd2 cable and the process took barely 4 mins on my 18’ F80 Competition pack. I think it took me longer to re-pair and start up CarPlay lol. Everything works great. Thanks Kuba!

Hi there, I have F31 320d 2018 with wlan hotspot, from my understanding I am eligible to activate CarPlay, however I have a question- can I do it through ICOM tool similar to the one in attached image?

WLAN Hotspot is no guarantee that Head Unit has a WLAN Port.

And a this wont do anymore that a ~$20 ENET Cable will.

Well in YT video guy from BimmerDoc said that having option 6CP or 6WD (hotspot) is good to go.

And regarding cable - I have that one mentioned in previous post and was trying to figure out is it worth to buy ENET cable at all.

Edit: kubax86 just replied that it’s only possible with enet cable.

It's incorrect. 6WD WLAN Hotspot is function of ATM module, not HeadUnit, and I've seen plenty of cars with 6WD and no Head Unit WLAN Port.
