I'm in the market now for an M3cs and am gravitating towards a lease takeover. If I go that route I'm looking at average of $15k in lease costs plus average of $62k residual for total of $77k. Purchase options I'm seeing are running high 70s to mid-80s. I'm thinking the advantage of lease takeover is opportunity to exit a year plus down road if, for some reason, I'm not completely satisfied or just want to do something different. Spec also comes into play as I would want blue or black.

CS values have held on very well. The period where dealers pushed out the remaining new cars is long gone and now that there isnt much supply, prices are up there. G80 release may change things but if you keep this car for medium long term you will win.

A bit of a bump, but I'm looking for some info on how M3 CS values are doing.
My lease is up in a few months, and I'm leaning towards buying it out (around 70k). My other option is letting it go for an X3/Macan and waiting out next steps... but I also feel like this is my last IC car before EV. I don't see a lot of stock out there now, so I'm feeling holding onto this rare beast might play out well in the long-term. Last edited by jdhiro; 10-19-2021 at 12:11 AM.. |

I think the values are leveling off, I just picked up a very clean AW CS w what some would consider higher mileage (32k miles) but I don’t mind the miles since I know all the maintenance was done and it just didn’t sit for 3yrs
I paid mid 60’s than add transport and full PPF and I’m right around the 70k number Since you’re the original owner and you have full history of the car 70k seems like a good number for sure and it’s really much nicer than a macan which I cross shopped as well In my opinion you can’t get hurt owning it @70k |
