Holy hell, I've had the car more than a year and had no idea the headrests were adjustable. Tried it last night and they do indeed move up and down ... that's awesome.

He ordered the F83 LCI tail lights with retrofit wire and installed them on his 2016. I've been following the Headfront light M4 LCI thread.

OK, was somewhat dismissive of this headrest removal thing and actually just thought the damn things were locked in but did it today and holy crap what was I thinking

The single biggest difference for me was the now clear rear mirror view! But removing them def also does good things for the profile - somehow pics don't really do the change justice. Live and learn

PS: For any of you who read my post on battery charge I just realized my BlueDriver OBDII can actually tell you the charge state (bluetooth unit can also be left plugged in with no draw and so can check battery status at any time on phone - kinda cool - again there is no way in iDrive or otherwise visually in car to check battery status - apologies, off topic!)

A firm tug upwards with a little wiggling, and out they come! No clips, buttons, etc. Very easy to slide back in as well.

ha, me to, then I was gassing up one day and thought, what the hell, and bang, both of them are out. They've been sitting in my closet ever since.

I never use the deflector thingy (still has the tag on), never have the rear seat back up, and never have the windows up so it drastically improves visibility and looks.

I don't have scratches, but there are dull spots on the drivers's side of the roof from contact with the hardtop mechanism.

Nice, sometimes I think I'm the only one who hates the headrests and that plastic wind thing.

Never used the Wind Deflector, never will. Can't be bothered to remove it, fix it, then stow it back. Call me lazy

Nice - now when I see verts with the rear headrest in place I become all snobby and say you should remove them (only took me 2 years to figure out how!! ) - have a go and see the difference - quite pronounced.

PS: Couldn't find a better pic quickly so the will have do - and yes Gruss the diabolical wind thingy is in place - only use it when porting wife around - but TBH doesn't bother me that much.
