I agree with you. Car feels a ton faster with dsc off. I guess getting sideways makes you feel faster. And euro mdm is completely worthless. It seems I am in constant disagreement with much of the Group think on this forum.
With that said. After a tune the next mod should be tires. I really can’t believe how bad the traction is. It’s really bad. And in my opinion that’s another negative with this car. Maybe bmw didn’t spec the right size rubber. But it’s an inherit problem with the platform. Everyone says the ps4 make a huge difference. If I keep the car I’ll give them a shot. But I’ll likely sell. The ch issue stinks too bad. |

Chaos? This is called fun and what the car was built for!! I'm surprised there are so many of you that agree... did you guys not realize you were buying a rear wheel drive car with a lot of power? For those you who have not, go to a parking lot in the rain, turn DSC all the way off and have some fun!! Not only will you enjoy it, but it'll make you a better driver when you hopefully figure out how to control it.

I'm all about DSC fully off, especially at the track.

Is coding Euro MDM still worth it on a stock 2018 ZCP M3 given that the software updates have apparently modified the US MDM in the past couple years? I have been reading through this thread: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1261500 where some people say that just updating to a new software improved their MDM. Whats the better option these days, to update my car or code Euro MDM?

I've done some decent power-slides in MDM ands felt no intervention from DSC, it's great (although, I'm not brave enough to test it's limits to see when it kicks in, at least not on the street). Latest SW is much better in terms of rear end behaviour so you can light up the rear wheels in a straight line without the back end swinging around on you. Mine is a 2015 though so the changes probably won't be as drastic for you. |
