Atlantis Blue M3 | Fourteen Exposures

Hey guys, just wanted to share a photo that I took of dubsesd's M3 this weekend. This one consists of 14 separate 30 second exposures to form one composite image of a light-painted Atlantis Blue M3. Hope you enjoy!

Stunning picture, could you explain the 14 exposures thing to a non camera guy..

Is it just set to take 14 separate pictures 30 seconds apart? If so how do you stitch it all into one image?

Also... What CF side skirts are they?

Thank you! It is 14 separate photos (30 second exposure each) stitched together. The purpose of the separate exposures is to paint different parts of the car using light (a flash light in this case) in each photo and than take the best part of each photo and merge them together. Hope that makes sense.

As far as the skirts go, dubsesd can you chime in?

Very impressive work!

Too bad you are not local or I would ask you to do some photography for a few of our cars, been studying this method and tried a few times without very good results.

You obviously have some great skills! Love it!
