Powder coat ideas

Attachment 2342283Ladies and Gents,
I'm looking at powder coating my 437m wheels...yes I know this may hurt the value , but so will the existing curb rash. Looking for some color scheme ideas that you all think would look good on my M4

I think satin black looks better than gloss black on these rims, the gloss black looks terrible to me on 437M. Satin black looks good tbh and isn't too far off from the OEM black finish

Just don't do red purple or any of that please.

Can never really go wrong with satin black. If you prefer the original color, they can get pretty close to stock as well.

How about the satin gray like the 666m on the new heritage m4s?

Satin black is the only color you can do that won't look cheap or ghetto. Maybe gloss black but satin black is your only option IMO, unless you want your car to look like its worth 20k and a 17 year old designed it in GTA, bronze gray etc aren't it

I'm gonna have to find some pics...unless you guys have some. The bronze idea seems interesting as well. But obviously don't want it to look ghetto. New to the BMW club. Not sure what the satin gray 666ms look like or what a heritage M4 is. I'll do some googling. Feel free to share pics if you have good examples

The satin black and gray look NICE! Black will probably conceal the brake dust better

Was thinking gunmetal as well. but is that too close to the paint or too close to stock? In general I am sick of black wheels, but on your paint satin black might work well. Stay monochrome in whatever direction you go. Consider just repairing/keeping it stock finish?

I think the car will look really good with dark powder coat - not necessarily BLK, but something darker than the silver. BLK will only accentuate any kind of curb rash. I have an old Z32 and went for what's on the pic - the lips are bronze. But that's a BLK car. I can see that on your silver, but without the bronze.

I now have two sets, gloss black and satin crystal grey. I think the grey ones look much better on my car.

Agree that grey looks much better. I'm no longer a fan of black, whether satin or gloss.

IMO it will need some contrast on the surface to make it look good. That's why the OEM black one looks better since it has the tint clear coat, not black all around.
