Thanks. The vendor said the same thing about not clearing my calipers.

I actually modded this car a lot and haven't provided many updates, but I decided I'll just go back in time and space out the updates a little.

At this point I wanted to work on the exterior of the car.. decided to go the M-Performance route and grab the OEM unpainted rear wing (51-19-2-450-138) and the OEM carbon m performance rear diffuser (51-19-2-350-697). Below are some pics of the rear wing install, which I used a 3m eraser attachment to get rid of the double sided tape residue. The wing was painted by ABS Autobody here in El Monte and they did a great job!

OEM vs M Performance

Continuing on the M-Performance theme, I decided to get the matte black front lip (51-19-2-350-711)

I did some research about the fitment WITHOUT the OEM carbon splitters (51-19-2-350-712) since I actually didn't really like the splitter look, and the splitters were also super expensive. Went through the whole process and really didn't like the gap between the lip and the bumper without the splitter, I also tried aftermarket splitters.. and the gap was still bad.

Moral of the story, go OEM the first time or choose a different route entirely, some pics:

Before the lip (with BMW caps on my OG TE37)

Installation

Before the spliltters

AFTERMARKET Splitters, lip fitment still looks weird on the driver's side

OEM Splitters, finally looks right. (Aftermarket splitters in the trash)

Look for that in an upcoming update! The car is a lot more modded than the updates have shown.. I've just been slow to update lol.

Excited to continue seeing the updates!

When you ordered the M performance rear spoiler, did it come unpainted? I'm not the biggest fan of the small dainty spoiler it comes with from factory.

Yes sir it comes unpainted. If you want a pre-painted version I believe IND sells it..

Although I do like the pre-lci headlights since it had the full halos, upgrading the headlights to the IKON adaptive LED's was a must. I'm actually surprised I didn't take too many pics during this process but since this was my 2nd time doing a LCI LED headlight upgrade (did my 2014 F31 before this), I guess I didn't think to document it much. Got the same kit from Marius on eBay and decided to wrap the wires in Tessa tape this time, saw it as a nice touch and it added extra protection as the wire moves from the trunk to the engine bay.

A few pics of the install.. cleaned out a lot of damn leaves in the meantime lol.

Ikons are a game changer especially for all the xenon guys. How was your experience with Marius? I’ve been looking to grab a pair.

Did you need a wiring harness?

Hey I did need a wiring harness. Marius is great and very detailed, I would suggest getting his wiring harness on eBay and the coding through him too.

Huge interior overhaul! The car originally came with the black leather interior, which is great.. but I always liked the cloth options when it comes to M interiors. The carbon structure interior always stood out to me, although I went with different front seats since OEM seats always made my back hurt (every generation of M). Ended up with some leather/alcantara Recaro pole positions that a friend had sitting around his garage!

I also wanted to add a few other interior bits that I always imagined in my ideal F80, which includes the OEM CS center console (center armrest delete), and the CS Alcantara steering wheel. I got lucky and found a forum member that was trading his CS interior bits for OEM F80 since he wanted rent out his car for turo.. I know.. weird but, not my car!

Got the pole positions in first, bonus pic with my daughter's Recaro child seat

Swapped out the OEM interior pieces for CS pieces (including the newer shifter console with the retractable cup holder cover), also changed the AC panel to the non-seat warmer version since I lost that function with the pole positions.

New floor mats! Really love these since the base is rubber, feels a lot better than the OEM ones without any signage. Comparison below:

Also, new cupholder bottoms, it's the little things guys!
