Because I’ve recommended the EB6D to people who have actually purchased them. I don’t need to have tested or owned a product to make a statement about said product when I’m recommending it to forum members. They released a V2 version of the front strut and they said they only sell dampers in a set of four. Would not even make an exception for existing owners who have their V1 EB6D to upgrade to the V2 EB6D. They used an Eventuri intake design that’s gone through four revisions to justify not offering EB6B V2 upgrade; however, they offer upgrade kits if the owner chooses to upgrade their intake. Additionally, if I’m going to recommend the EB6D to people, their warranty claim process wasn’t clear on who handled the warranty process (search the forums and see what you find out about Bilstein warranty claims). If you had to buy a set of four to get the new front EB6D V2s, doesn’t that suggest you have to buy a complete set of four dampers if only one damper fails and it wasn’t covered by a warranty claim or its warranty had already expired? Their position on how they allow V2 upgrades has changed. How they handle warranty claims and non-warranty claim failed dampers and whether it’s possible to upgraded V2 dampers only are now documented somewhere. Again, their original position was no V2 upgrade which implies you could only buy their version of the B6D in sets of four. Only thing not clear at this point is does Bilstein actually rebuild/service their Bxx line of dampers? Based on their original positions, I would no longer recommend the EB6D as an option to keep EDC functional. In case you’re wondering, I’ve helped several 100s of people select existing kits, such as the EB6D, and/or custom build suspension kits for the street and track.

So you've recommended suspension kits to other car owners, yet you haven't tested all of these products yourself?

See at least pages 12 & 15 of the attached document.

At 4:05 of this AutoID video is the first time I hear anyone speak of this other than you M3SQRD

I’m sure someone on here can do this remotely. I would like to reset mine and see if I notice any difference.

I value M3SQRD 's inputs, and I'm sure other potential buyers do as well. You don't need to own a product to provide an informed opinion. Conversely, many buyers will often made wide claims on whatever they purchased because 1/ it is in human nature to justify their purchases and 2/ they just don't know what else is out there in the market.

I prefer to be more informed and appreciate the community to try to hold the companies accountable for what they sell and how they sell.

Many YouTubers (including brands and shops with YT channels) have very material conflicts of interest and will not tell you the truth about their actual views.

For what it's worth, I own many Evolve products even though they are not the most performance-oriented vs other aftermarket brands because I like their looks, but at least I feel like I am an informed buyer and know what compromises I am making.
