GT4 Coding

Has anybody been able to unlock or code the M4 GT4 DCT 'motorsport software' or 'Stability systems specifically adapted for BMW Motorsport (DSC/ABS)'?

Apparently the car uses 'production electronics', so I'm assuming if somebody had access to one of the USBs with racing maps the coding and tuning could replicated/transferred?

http://www.caradvice.com.au/608016/b...its-australia/

Would LOVE to get this into my M4...

Surely somebody has attempted this now that GT4's have been delivered to customers...

You can code and program some GTS settings. The one that cannot be done is DME, which requires FSC code.

You are right. I should read more carefully or not respond when tired. Good Luck!

It is not listed in ISTA+. If you had a Typecode, E-sys could create files for you.

It depends on how it is done and whether dealership checks. Rare to void.

I'm also interested in the BMW M4 GT4 software.
I found a VIN to a GT4 in a sales advert and using a VIN-decoder apparantly the typecode are 4Y93.

So, after adding 4Y93 to my FA file, and playing around with different I-step(shipm.) dates. E-sys generates the following updates for the DSC and EGS4. (I have used I-step F020-18-07-520 to generate this, but it the same with later I-steps also)

Any thoughts on this?
Anybody thinks this might be the GT4 motorsport files?

Any success with this? Are you looking to code these modules the same way the CS/GTS coding was done or are you flashing?

It seems that EPIC motorsports does GT4 coding. I just ordered their tune and will be coding a few items with them as part of the process

Based on that it looks like same process of Programming/Coding GTS. Coding changes in DSC along with software changes in EGS.

For DSC, unless there is different module needed, there should not be HWEL change. Did you pick wrong I-Step Shipment?

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I arrived at the same exact conclusion to what you did above, after flashing DSC and DCT, it seems to be just flashing base M4 software, and nothing related to the GT4. Very strange, cause I am using an actual GT4 VIN! Unless the M4 GT4 race cars started their production as standard M4 production cars, then receive all the upgrades later on. So when the VIN get decoded or used for flashing/programming, it is nothing special.

The correct Typschlüssel for the M4 GT4 is 9001, which E-SYS refuses to accept as a valid Type Code. All BMW Motorsport cars have a Typschlüssel that starts with "90", the M235i Racing is 9080, and M6 GT3 is 9082 for example.

Verified on Realoem to be 9001 too.

Hi all! Has anyone installed a pedal from an M4 GT4 F82?

We have already removed the original brake pedal with vacuum and we have already installed the brake pipes that we have already installed under the M4 GT4 pedal. We have 2 pressure sensors that we can’t figure out how to connect without a diagram...

We have an F82 M4 GT4 at home.

It would be great to get their ABS program for normal M3s, as well as the traction control program. It can be done, at least partially.

M4 gt4 coding

Hi I have been trying out this for almost two years, after getting acess to one gt4 from a customer in Europe, I found out normal esys doesnt work with the gt4 or m2 cs racing cars. To acess this you need MIDIS motorsport software that only a few people have on the world. Fortunately I have access recently to this software and I was able to check Bmw m4 gt4, m2 cs racing and m235 racing coding data. I will be testing this weekend on my own car and will tell the diference and benefits, I just saw about 36 changes just on the DSC that affects abs and traction control.

This is the first I have ever heard that "special" software was needed. How did you come to this conclusion?
