I like the Remus also, the AK exhaust seemed to be a little deeper (at least in the videos; have not heard it first hand) with nice pop and burble to it when you let off. I personally don't like how the ModeCarbon meets the bottom of the car. I considered the Stratus Gruppe diffuser; I think its a good choice.

Looking forward to more pictures with your mods installed.
I opted for that particular front lip because it is FRP and will serve its purpose of protecting the front bumper without potentially cracking like CF, and also because it doesn't require adding the CF splitters. I spent $5K on San Marino paint, which is beautiful, and I don't want to cover any of it up with splitter covers.

It appears (according to the highly reliable weather people on TV here) that the sun might come out this weekend. So......maybe I can do that!

Take a look on page one and page 5 for a bunch of pictures in different lighting.

It's really a remarkable, and classy color.

Some More Recent Pictures

Here are a few new ones, again with Antonio's M3 (in Laguna Seca Blue)

Mods so far:

--Burger 12 mm spacers all around
--Burger clutch stop (love this!)
--Mode Carbon front trophy FRS splitter
--Carbon Fiber grill surrounds
--IND painted reflector replacements
--NEXT: Status gruppe rear carbon fiber diffuser (still waiting for it to arrive)

These pictures are from this past weekend's BMWCCA Oregon Chapter "Covered Bridges Tour" in the Willamette Valley. There were probably 50 Bimmers there, everything from wonderful early 1970s 1600s and 2002s to 540s, M6s, M3s, Z4Ms, etc. Even a 1988 M3!!! Great fun roaring through the windy countryside with a bunch of fellow enthusiasts!

Some one had a 2005ish M3 in Laguna Seca. It was incredible I just failed to take a picture of it!

WOW! Excellent write-up! I'm from Portland, Oregon as well and I'll be headed into the 2 dealerships we have here in about a week and half to start discussing with them about an allocation date late Oct/Early Nov on an M3 ZCP in San Marina Blue as well. In my opinion, you've hit the spot on all the mods so far while trying to keep it nonchalant as the SMB is already appealing as is. I sent you a DM in regards to your experience with BMW Portland & Kuni as well as how your pricing negotiation went with them.

Saw your message. Glad to see you're going with the competition package. As I said, I'd suggest Kendall in Bend or Pacific BMW in Cal. Just my two cents based on my experience. It doesn't matter where you buy it, you can still have it delivered back to Portland. Or better yet, deliver it to the new performance driving center in Cali for a BMW track experience!!!!
