Good point but those scuffs could easily be fixed if you value the CCBs at even half of the optioned cost. Plus it was cheaper. |

I also don't know if your point that a CS was only 30% more than a base M3 is true. IIRC a base M3 is probably around $70-75k while the CS was easily into the $110-115k. Many reviewers thought the price wasn't quite justified. That would make them almost 50% more expensive than a base M3; but the aftermarket doesn't reflect that; as you can see with the most recent auction result (expensive sedans tend to fall the farthest from MSRP). |

The base M3 with DCT and leather seats/dash and executive package was at price point you mentioned. But M3 CS at its base price of 98k had hell a lot of added options compared to our example here. Only add ons for CS were individual colors, executive package, CCB and titanium exhaust. All US cars came with executive package and their MSRP was about 102k .The 115k that you are referring to is when CCB and FDB/LRG were added. That is not the base price of CS though. Sorry, a bit sensitive to inaccurate information or FAKE NEWS! |

^^^ small clarification - there were some US cars that came without exec pack - I think around 30+ cars - so an AW stripper CS was about $98k. Also some M3 comps were well over $90k if loaded up with options like individual paint or port installed carbon add ons or MPE.
Also interesting here - Porsche does a way better job of controlling supply and demand. If you want a GT car you will have to wait as production is spread out and slow - no discounts. Contrast BMW who dumped all the CS cars in a short window which created oversupply and killed the sales price. |

2) "a bit sensitive to inaccurate information or FAKE NEWS!" If you really think posting here about how a CS is awesome will somehow protect or elevate the value of your CS, you might want to re-consider. The market has already spoken. Also, I hope you're joking about the "fake news" part. 3) A CS is not on the level of a GT P-car. The market has spoken. Quote:
1) Very few CS cars came as stripped down models. 2) If you want a GT car you either have to know somebody or be somebody, or pay 50-100k over on second hand market, though things have cooled considerably since 12-18 months ago. 3) Not sure about the dumping part. If you remember the 1M, it was a similar run of cars and those held their value very well. |

Maxd23, where are you getting all this inaccurate information from? I am attaching pricing guide for F80 CS that shows how things were limited as far as options available for ordering the car (except a couple of things everything else was standard) PLEASE TAKE A LOOK! I never said CS is an awesome car (you are saying it which I agree). I can care less if I sell my car at 60 or 100 as it doesn't make a financial difference for me. Sorry admin , at least the pricing sheet attached should be a relevant topic here to educate the ones who needed it so all the BS stops. |
