BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey guys,

So to start from the beginning, I've had my F80 since April 2016. Since then I've gone through quite a lot with it. I've been through a few different tuners (DME, JB4, BPM, BM3, and now Ecutek) and a few different setups.

Started off with the simple FBO setup while the platform was still fairly young and then moved on to be one of first full E85 stock fuel system customers. It was a blast in the beginning, I mean no one had experienced this kind of power yet on such minimal mods. The good old mod bug hit after about a year, I then went and added some PS2's, and some giggle juice (meth). After a few months of that in October of 2019, cylinder 3 rod decided to give out and bend.

That's when it all started...

Towed the car to a local shop here in Chicago called EP3 Motorsports in St Charles IL. They've been absolutely awesome. I had them tear the car down and then we went from there to see what my options were. I've never built a car this extensively before and they've never built an S55 this in depth before either.

EP3 told me that I was lucky that the rod didn't play a game of peek a boo with the block, my options were to either build the motor or swap in a used one. I decided to follow one of my dreams and go balls to the wall. Mod list is as follows

BMS chargepipes
SSR Intakes
Eurocharged catless downpipes
AA Equal Length midpipe
Dinan heat exchanger
Mosselman oil thermostat
EOS Charge Air Cooler
EOS intake manifold
ASR Engineering Kratos KRAS55Bi turbos
ECUTEK tuned by Bend Calibration
Zeitronix flex fuel with Bend Calibration fuel filter kit
DSS carbon fiber driveshaft
DSS built upgraded axles
SSP Spec X Package with Viton seals and gaskets
Power flex Diff bushings
Turner dual mount diff bracket
MaxPSI Crank Hub with VTT CBC
Built bottom end (Mahle forged stock CR pistons, Carillo connecting rods, ACL rod bearings, ARP head studs)
LA Sleeves sleeved block
Headgames valves, springs and retainers with outside work port and blending
Bimmer MILVs (intake lift valves)
Prometh Direct port meth system with Motiv reflex

I'll be updating this thread as the build progresses and we get some dragy pulls, 1/2 mile runs, and 1/4 mile runs in!

Most pictures and videos are on my Instagram as well, @edinhodzic6_

Thanks
- E

The tune by Bend Calibration via EcuTek brings it all together! Many people overlook this part
