Comparing from a picture from the Euro spec from another thread, it seems like the US spec front springs have a more progressive rate then the Euro spec (middle one in the picture). Is this assumption correct, or is it just an optical illusion due to the angle?

We've increased the front rate by 34lbs/in and lowered 2mm more over the Euro spec counterpart. The rear height will be the same as the Euro spec but we've increased the rates slightly in the rear too.

Euro = 20mm front lowering and 5mm rear lowering.
US = 22mm front lowering and 6mm rear lowering with increased spring rates.

Here's a quick snap of the M4 we test fitted the US spec Pro-Kit on last Friday.

Is the drop only 6mm even for the coupe? The m4 rear needs more of a drop than that

Yes, but we're noticing quite a bit of settling with the M3 and M4 bushings in the rear. It may end up being 1 or 2mm more once settled.

according to HPA, the OEM front spting rate is ~185 lb/in. if the US eibach front spring rate is 200 lb/in and is 34 lb/in stiffer than the euro eibach front spring rate, that makes the euro eibach front spring rate 166 lb/ft, or 19 lb/ft softer than oem? which piece of info above is incorrect? is 200 the rate for the EURO front, and the US front is 34 greater than that?

Not trying to discredit anyone, but wouldn't you want to believe the guy who works for Eibach? I have direct access to this information and know what I posted is accurate.

The Euro Spec Eibach spring is softer than OE. Don't ask why. Maybe for TUV purposes. I'm not sure. This is a huge reason why we developed our US version.

That is very interesting. It could be a very good explanation for the front "floatiness" that some have reported with the Euro Eibach springs.

not saying i don't believe you (or anyone). i'm just trying to get to the bottom of this. an aftermarket spring having a 10% softer spring rate is unusual to say the least. is there any commentary from eibach on why they chose both a softer rate AND a lower ride height in the front for the european version? is 166 in fact the official number from eibach for the european front?

is it possible that the progressive nature of the springs is muddying these numbers and they are not in fact softer than OEM when compressed to their actual working range?

No official comment from Eibach Germany on why. If it comes up in email I'll try and find out. I feel it's quite irrelevant at this point since we've already developed a new spring kit with preferred ride heights and rates for the North American market.
