The wires are on the right on your picture, Can you take a picture of that area? If possible, upload full size image, I will pinpoint which one.

Bumping semi-old thread. Edit: I think I see the ground area, will check.

I have a very similar sounding issue which has had me unsettled out of corners or on acceleration, but normal driving is fine and straight as an arrow. I was unable to find any other threads but this which sounds very similar. I do not have any alignment issues and the car tracks straight down the road 98% of the time.

When coming out of a corner, at anything 40%+ throttle in 3/4/5 gears, the car very noticeably starts pulling the steering. It gets very heavy and I have to bias about 10-15 degrees to the left. After 0.5-1.5 seconds the steering seems to "correct" itself and centers/jerks back to normality. Car is now driving straight and stable again. But for those 1-3 seconds during and after some accelerations it feels unstable and unsafe, especially with that jerk back.

The drop box link is dead. Can anyone help me out here? Did the issue ever come back? I would like to try to clean these grounds and test. And then flash an EPS update and test again.

2018 M4 for reference.

My ground was fine, and the issue still exists albeit lightly.

It seems the warmer temps have helped a bit, but still happens occasionally.

I'm unsure if its an issue with the EPS itself, or a driver assist function.

I did have this happen again at my track event earlier this month. It happen at then end of my fifth session and the day was ending. This time i was in Sport setting and it was around 90* outside vs the 110 last time.

Im starting to think that my essix big brakes kit and the NT01 are producing alot of heat around the EPS unit. Being it is close to the wheel well it seems. I also removed the dust shield when i installed the BBK. Thinking this was adding a little thermal barrier that is now missing.

I was also thinking of adding some sorta thermal insulation to the fender or around the EPS area.
I have not tried to clean the connections yet. If it happens one more time i will.

Any other info around this subject would be great. Still unsure what to do about it.
