Current M3CS values? Best place to get my M3 CS appraised? Ready to sell
Hi,
My car lease is up in a month and trying to figure out what I should do. Where should I go to see what I can get for it? Anyone done anything recently? If so, what did you get? My buyout is $62k and everything I see online for M3CS is listed for $75k-80k right now. Would love to get some $$$ back. I have a g80 on order but just got relayed from 12/8 to 2/6 to no date now so not sure if I should just buy out the CS or sell it and wait now.

I plan to tracking regularly and want the cheap mainenance ($700 cost only) and warranty that comes with the new car. Last season alone, Bmw replaced my braked 3 times, fronts, rears, then fronts again. I did put on 17k miles though. By the time I add certification, warranty, and maintenance warranty to the CS, it will cost me more monthly to own than the new G80 m3 lease. I love the CS and it's been the most amazing car I've had so far.

Echo this.
I get the math. And you will probably enjoy the G80 as it is a nice car. But I could never forgive myself for selling a CS. Raced or not. No DCT, too smooth, etc. With that said, if you are set on selling it, you def will make some money. Finding the right buyer is probably going to be the bigger challenge. Especially when they see you have burned through 3 sets of pads in a year. But there are a handful of folks looking for these, many who are looking for a track car vs a low mileage garage queen. I would run an ad here and see what you get. Good luck either way! Pics of the car would be nice as any pic of a M3 CS is good thing.... josh |

Have you heard of FCPEURO's lifetime replacement program on consumable parts (e.g. oil, brakes, spark plugs, fluids, etc)? https://www.fcpeuro.com/page/lifetime-guarantee
Although, if you're set on selling the CS, I would recommend getting a quote from the following outlets in this exact order: 1. Vroom 2. Carvana 3. Carmax Carvana is the best one out of the 3, but Vroom somehow offers more for performance oriented cars. |

I don't think it's funny, or that he's crazy.
The epicness of peave of mind that comes from a car that is completely covered under warranty that you'll track is hard to overstate. I've had my diff output flange, plugs twice, oil changes one after the other, diff fluid, coils and a long list of stuff covered for free. I've done it both ways as I have two track cars, one is leased and the other is owned. I do all my car work myself and have many M cars, let me tell you, having a 'rental' M3 to track is sweet sweet sweet. The only case where I feel the track-lease does not work out is if you want to mod beyond a normal level. Once you want to do aero you need a purchased car. If you don't need aero you remove seats, do bbk and suspension plus harnesses and you call it a day. |

See if your dealer will give you an incentive to turn in the lease, otherwise, you could buy it out and sell. I'm assuming you're around 20-30k miles you'd probably get bites at $70-75ish - pretty much what similar mileage SMBs are selling at based on a few transactions I know of (all were listed at $80 but didn't sell there)

So has anyone sold one recently? I know a lot the CS leases are coming up due just about now. I've reached out to a few places, but the online places seem to be valuing it as a standard m3 and the dealers are low balling me at the buy out amount which makes no sense in this market.

Maybe call BMWFS and extend the lease. Make your normal payments until February then trade it on the G80 and negotiate hard to max ur equity and the trade-in value above ur payoff. A few more payments will actually pay down the balance. BMWFS should extend a few months since u have a G80 ordered and it is delayed.
In for Pics of ur CS and good luck. |

Well shit, if that’s true I should have waiting for the CS returns to hit! I thought they already had or people were buying out and keeping because I didn’t find that many for sale.

Dealer 1: $69,000 Dealer 2: $70,500 Dealer 3: $73,000 I have 5 months left on my lease & my car is absolutely pristine with very low mileage. As far as I know, BMWFS cornholes you into having to sell back to the dealer & not places like CarMax or Carvana. I know all three South Florida BMW dealers I visited are notoriously shit but I had an afternoon with some time to blow. I think I'm going to let the lease run it's course & just buy the car as the residual is $61k. I hope you have better luck then me. |
