Anybody make a lot of smoothies and like 'em thicc like me?

Well damn, i've never found the right thing to make them:

* Broke or burned out a ton of immersion blenders
* vitamix/blendtec are annoying because extra container, have to constantly stir, etc
* Juicers, food processors, and other stuff has the same problems

Well I *MAY* have found the solution, and it's pretty cheap! The Philips ProMix immersion blender. it's got a single housing for the motor and controls, one-touch controls for on/off and speed, and it powers through frozen strawberries like a lawn mower. The bell is a bit annoying because it's large so takes up space but it's worth it because the thing barely breaks a sweat chowing through frozen fruit. Anyway, working great for now!

The best though is Banana Joe's in Kauai - they have some type of special machine where they'll put like a whole (peeled) frozen pineapple, whole frozen bananas into the top and then grrrrRRRRRRRRRR and out the other side comes ultra smooth frosty! Throw some cacao beans in there and man, that's living.

It's official, we are getting a boat. Unfortunately, I have to do a ten hour road trip into WI to find a dealer I trust to buy it from.

Yup, which is why this whole let states etc do what they want (or courts etc) is idiotic. I live on the border with WI and I guarantee you people here are going there to the packed bars etc and vice versa. So yah not going to contain much without a national plan.

This is of course happening all over the nation.

Definitely - sometimes I still say, "... quicker than going to Wisconsin on Sundays for beer".

And then I still remember in Superior there was/is a bar (Shultz's) at the bottom one of the bridges from MN that has picnic tables in the back - you can sit at the tables and watch all the drunks drive down the bridge from MN after the MN bars closed at 1a.

Oh, and my father-in-law calls the border "the cheese curtain" (an iron curtain reference for those too young for the cold war)

Good times!

In other news, I took this tone-deaf test: https://www.themusiclab.org/quizzes/td

I know i'm really bad with singing, like I can't sing anything on key. I scored better than 85% plus I screwed up one of the answers so I guess I can hear ok, i just can't make my voice make the sounds my ears hear

Let's just say that my epic abilities as a singer were confirmed by this test. It basically said I should be banned even from listening.

I had a job in college, at a place called Bobby McGees, Where the waiters dressed up as characters (Rocky, superman, Elmer Fudd, etc). One of our big schticks was singing for birthdays. We had about 12 different songs........I was frequently asked not to sing.

I learned something new today.

There is a difference between Keyless Access and Comfort Access.

Guess I been on the higher end most of the time so I never noticed lol.

Usually it means you have to pull a fob out and hit the unlock/lock button. And it may or may not be a push button start.

Yeah.

Keyless Access means you still need the key fob to unlock the door. Aka you need to press the unlock button to unlock your car and Vice versa.

Comfort Access means you can open and lock the car by having the key fob on you instead and putting your finger on the door handle. You don't really need to touch your key fob.

BMW by default is Keyless Access. Even though this isn't completely true as you still have a key, you just don't need to bust it out. I only started to realize this while helping my cousin shop for a G20. Since his English isn't strong, he keeps calling it Keyless Access but what he is actually looking for is Comfort Access. I didn't catch the mistake until yesterday. BMW should call it a bit differently. Even I got confused.

Basically, BMW is calling it Keyless even though that isn't true. You need the key fob still, which also means you have the key on you. They are ironically calling it Keyless Access.

Shit just got real GrussGott, they canceled the MN State Fair.

No surprise really, but a lot of my coworkers/friends etc are, which does surprise me that they are surprised about the news. Make sense?
