Possibly looking to do springs and spacer....
I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of my F80 and I'm trying to get all my parts together before she gets here... My last M3 was a 2011.75 E92 with ZCP so I left the stock suspension alone... I'm pretty much just trying to get rid of that terrible wheel gap without going to crazy... Can I achieve this with just springs or do I go the full coilover route? The car will be driven "spiritedly" regularly, but maybe only 1 to 2 track days a year... Also it will only get about 5k miles put on it annually... And as far as spacers go I was looking at turner's 12.5MM for all four corners... Any feedback is much appreciated...

I put the 15mm Macht Schnell spacers on my F80. The stance is perfect (IMO). I am also going to put the F80 specific H&R Sports on this week to deal with the front wheel gap.
I'm OK with a little bit of harshness/bumpiness added to the ride... so just springs are fine with me. If you can't deal with the slight loss of ride quality and performance you would have to go with the full coil system. |

The exact drop specs are (1.3in front/ 0.8 rear) Another alternative is Status Gruppe (1.2 in front/ 0.8 rear) |

how does the status springs ride? maybe compared to the h&r sport?. that's the drop I want and was thinking of getting swift or kw has. I would never adjust the kw so it would be a waste of money but want the ride quality.

Both options are also compatible with M-Adaptive suspensions, which keep an error-free dash. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help.

12mm front and 10mm rear for a conservative look. 15mm front and 12mm rear for a flush look. Anything more than that looks goofy, IMO.
As for lowering, you're paying for a track ready and very capable car. Don't short yourself with cheap springs. Even the Honda Civic guys spend $3k on good suspension, which is worth as much as their cars. Go full race coilovers or leave the car alone. If you have EDC, then K&W HAS with TC Kline camber plates will do.

Got my HR Sport installed today. I have 15mm spacers all around.
Looks amazing IMO, definitely nothing "goofy" about the stance. Ride was pretty good. Little bouncier in sport+, but comfort still absorbs bumps nicely. |
