Hey guys,

I'm sure most of you guys have seen Cary Jordan
post about full E85 on stock turbos and stock fuel system for S55. Well, I was one of the first few guys who had the pleasure of working with Cary and couldn't be happier. Got the car on the dyno tonight and with only 21.5 average peak PSI, the car put down 552whp/575wtq. None of this would've been possible without the awesome work from PTF and their new custom tuning features in BM3. Dzenno and the guys at PTF have really hit the nail on the head. Requesting a tune is so straight forward, requesting an update from Cary is as easy as hitting a button for a drop down menu and clicking on his name! They truly changed the game with these features. The car drives like a dream and Cary is always on top of responding in a timely manner and has been very helpful. Would recommend him to any of you S55 guys!

CaryTheLabelGuy is the guy to work with for this!

Nice, way to push the stock turbos to the max!

Just curious, are you able to go back to 91/93 octane with your custom tune, or are you stuck with E85 until another reflash?

BM3 CaryTheLabelGuy Custom Full E85 tune (Cary Jordan)
Stock fuel system
Stock turbos
RK Tunes front mount intakes
BMS Chargepipes
Eurocharged Catless Downpipe's

Was able to get to the drag strip tonight. Car ran great. 51° day and was slipping out of the hole even with Mickey Thompson's. On a warmer day, 10.8-10.9 all day!!!

Just need BM3, stock turbos, stock fuel system, and and access to E85. Then of course need to contact CaryTheLabelGuy for a custom map!

Impressive numbers for sure for the amount of boost running
Cary knows his shit for sure.

but may I ask why you taper to 16 psi up top Cary
even a stock map does not do that, on my logs they at 17.5-18 psi at redline

I understand you prob have ramped up the timing allot up top.
the turbo is still well in its efficiency at 18 psi
just curios why??

care to share a log?

Congrats amazing results!

Curious to know reason behind the boost taper to 16psi. That?s even lower than ZCP stock tune up top. I suspect stock fueling is the limit isn’t it?

LOL

2 things.

Firstly, this car was targeting lower Boost pressures on the dyno than it was on the street. I didn't have enough time to fix the lower Boost target. It was tuned to hit 24psi at peak boost and hold until about 5.8k and then start to taper to 19-20psi by 7k. The lower load the DME was seeing on the dyno caused the lower Boost target, which barely hit 22 psi at first spool-up, fell off to about 20psi by 4.5k and then went back up slightly at 5k then tapered off to 15.8psi at 7.3k. Had the car hit 24psi peak boost, taper to 19-20psi, we'd be looking at a dynograph that read 570/600.

Secondly, we are running full E85 on the stock S55 fuel system. No Port Injection, no meth, no upgraded fuel pumps. As amazing as that is, it still has its limitations and that limitation rears its ugly head at high RPMs. What's even crazier is the limitation isn't the fuel pumps (LPFP or HPFP), it's the injectors! They are maxed out at high RPMs, typically at Boost pressures over 21psi at 7k. So in the upper RPM ranges, there has to be a taper. Down low, I've tested to 26psi and had plenty of Injector to go much higher, but it doesn't make much sense to run 26+psi then taper all the way down to 20psi up-top. Is it possible? Absolutely.

So because this is E85, I make up for the lower Boost with higher ignition timing, especially in the upper RPM ranges as this is where E85 really shines anyway. As a tuner, I want to make as much power as possible, with as little boost as possible as this is best for the engine, especially on the stock turbos. Leveraging the awesomeness of E85 is perfect for this and why I love E85 so much.

Also, please take note at how smooth that graph is with 0 smoothing.
