These non-real photos are the basis of a 100 posting thread, eh?

I'll weigh in and say I like meaty tires on attractive rims, and the 18" work for me. In the 19" render, the ratios are being kept the same so they don't shrink wheel gap.

I drive on real world roads in the 3rd world country known as PA/NJ and 19" get eaten up too easily. Further, with this much torque I'm going to be eating up tires - so 18" are going to represent a significant savings over time.

The fender gap itself doesn't bother me too much and I think is mostly a by-product of the renderings. The real life photos show it's there, but much less than these renderings would indicate.

Further, the F30 platform at least has glorious suspension travel and chassis control that does an amazing job of providing ride comfort yet control. If the F80 platform needs a bit of wheel gap to offer excellent wheel travel for a performance oriented machine - so be it.

Just my take. Go before show.

They are 19s. The earlier spy photos with those wheels have close up shots of the tires and they read the 255 or 275/35/19 size. I am very upset that these wheels didn't make production BUT I also do believe that these exact same 19s from the spy shots were seen on F10 M5 when it was being developed. I am going to guess it's an internal wheel that BMW stocks for testing purposes. Probably has an offset that fits most if not all BMW cars.

I like those as well.

As for the production F8x M3/4. I like the 19s, much more aggressive look than the 18s.

The BMW Lug pattern should be same 5x120 so just a matter of offset.

I have a set of the ZCP competition wheels sititng here so will be happy to test fit them when I get my car

ZCP's are one of the best looking stock wheels IMO!

Brand new. I'm simply saying there is a good chance the offsets will be wrong, and the wheels won't fit properly. Fitting correctly and bolting on are two different things.

You're brand new. Stick around. You'll learn something. We've been in this game a long time. They will fit.

P.S. Your inquiry will be put to rest as soon as you take the advice that I gave you and look at the photos of the F8X with E9X wheels mounted. Search 101 is your first homework assignment.

I've looked and haven't seen any?

If the wheel fitment is less aggressive that's no problem since spacers can fix it but if it's too aggressive then that is when the problem comes in.

Do I have to search it for both of you guys? Lol! You've been around a minute. You should have Jedi search skills by now.

P.S. The F8X is wider. There isn't an OEM E9X ///M3 wheel that will be too aggressive for the body of that car.

Yes, my RAC RG63s are similar, with slightly different detailing and much lighter (came out before the ZCPs). I'll likely get these refinished and slap them on.

Here you guys go @Money2536 @s4play ....and that's just one of a few that were spotted wearing E9X wheels on the front. Look how inset that rear wheel is. Yeah, this bad boy is going to need some really aggressive wheels for sure (..and/or spacers).

100% agreed. Chicago roads are awful, too, and they're getting eaten alive right now from all the salt and snow plows.

Which ones are lighter in weight, 18's or 19's?

I will take the lighter ones

Probably the 18's. I forgot what the weight difference was between the E9X 18's, forged 220M 19's and the ZCP 19's.

Sedan_Clan: thanks for the pics, I've seen those just didn't know what I was looking for I guess

I'm 100% sure I'm ordering the car with the OEM 18's since regardless I will be ditching the wheels within the first week pretty sure. May try my Volks or LM-R's sitting in the garage and adjust as necessary after I lower the car properly.

No sense in paying BMW extra for rims I don't use and since I'm not getting CCB's the clearance is not an issue for me.

How am I confused? You said the E92 wheels fit so definitively and that there were a few spy photos showing this. You posted a photo that has front 220M wheels on an F82 (which I've already seen). If the rear fit, why wouldn't they have put them on the car as well. I'm saying we don't know the offsets and that they may not fit. Maybe our definition of fitting is different. In my opinion, the need to run a 35mm spacer means the wheel doesn't fit.

Also, maybe you should stop acting so high and mighty and insulting other posters. I've been on this forum for 4 years. It doesn't make you better than me that you make 100 posts a day.

I've been here almost 9 years, so it does, indeed, make me better than you.

In all seriousness, time here is irrelevant. It is not illogical to deduce that if the front wheel offsets work, the rear offsets will likely work too (..after all, we didn't see E9X ///M cars running around with E46 ///M wheels on it; despite all of that, E9X guys ran square set-ups using E46 wheels). Maybe they were testing longevity of the rear wheels. Maybe they were testing the wheel/tire combination. Maybe, maybe, maybe! We don't know why they had the new rear wheels mounted to the rear of the car. We can already see how inset the new wheel is on the car, so that indicates to me that the OEM offset likely won't be much more aggressive than the E9X, and that spacers would be needed regardless (..assuming you like that look as many of us do).
