E63 S to M3 CS?
Former F80 owner here. Sold my '15 M3 a couple of years ago for Toyota Tundra. Loved the truck but it was too big. I've had a '18 E63s since May'18 and sadly it's spent 70+ days in service for an unresolvable CEL. Needless to say, she's a lemon and Mercedes is buying back the car. They're refunding all money down and every $ I've paid towards the car since purchase. I'll be surrendering it on Thursday and need a replacement. I have another E63s on order - it's built and due to be shipped soon.
It's hard to match the E63s, which I'd characterize as a super sedan with 600+ HP and torque. However, I don't love the way it drives. It's heavy...but fast. I miss my F80 and am not sure I want another E63s. I've located a new Lime Rock Grey M3CS. The dealership's offering a very reasonable discount to MSRP at ~10%. Curious what the forum's thoughts are on this transition. Thanks!

Do it. You won't regret it. Of course, you probably won't get many opposing opinions here.
Your only other viable option would be a M5C. If you get the CS, plan on keeping it for a long long time. Limited production means long term value. EAG will probably pay top dollar for well kept CSs.

Do it. Large fast sedans are instant fun but fun for an instant.

normally I think my responses trend toward the more lengthy end of the spectrum, but this one is easy:

There is another choice in that class. (IMO). The new 2019 AMG C63S. 503 HP twin turbo 4.0 V8. It's one sweet motor. First class interior and lots of hi teck amenities. Comes in coupe or sedan and some very cool colors including frozen black. Option it out well and your still under 100k.

Based on what you have I would suggest the F90 M5. I speak from ownership of both a 2018 E63S and now an F90 M5....

OP what's your experience with rwd cars with good power and how will you use the car (cart around clients, family hauler, I'm guessing?)
My $0.02 is get a GLE63s or X3M. For a street only family car you'll miss the acceleration from a stop and the stability when in bad weather |

Enjoy the car, I drove one the day I first borrowed the F90 M5 and its definitely a fun car to drive. It drove better than my 2016 ZCP F82 without a doubt. Im sure you can get a pretty good deal on the car since they are sitting around.

Also, have you considered a price equivalent Porsche? By the sounds of it, you prefer a more driver involvement kinda car. |

I was going to say sure, if you are getting a discount. 10% isn't bad, I would push for more. Dealers are hurting to move their CS inventory, no one really seems interested anywhere near US msrp. Dealers learned their lesson with the GTS.

You should get the M3CS and put a license plate on it that reads 'E63 LOL'.

Depends on what your looking for. Looking for more sportiness go for M3CS. The bigger super sedans are just too big. The 2019 C63 with the new steering wheel seems gimmicky and the tacked on iPod imho is awful. If you want more luxury and longer road trips definilty get the M5Comp. Instead of the M5Comp get an SVR and keep the M3CS for spirited drives and track work.
