If you hear buzzing during driving, I'm betting it's not electrical but mechanical. I've found that the buttons are loose and prone to rattling/buzzing. See this thread and how I solved it: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...0&postcount=20 (note: since the photo, I've put tape on all the buttons.) Of course, if the noise is there also while parked and not moving and not using wifi, then definitely keep the unit disconnected! |

It's definitely not the buttons. My car was stationary with wifi turned off. The buzzing was captured while continuously recording. Sent both videos for the F770 and the X330 for Blackbox guys to compare. Same buzzing noise while the unit was hard wired or in the cig plug adapter. You can definitely hear the buzzing inside the cabin when car is not runnning, no radio, and with windows rolled up.
Thanks for the link on the rattling fix. Last edited by Neuera09; 12-06-2016 at 10:57 PM.. Reason: Spelling |

Has anyone been able to disable the voice prompt telling you to reformat the disc for data integrity? That's my other complaint. |

Heard back from Justin at Blackboxmycar and he's relayed my issues with Thinkware North America. Just received an email from Thinkware with a ticket number. They will be sending me a return label for the unit. I should get a brand new replacement unit versus a refurbished one. Stay tuned folks!

So I am thinking about adding a dash cam. Actually been thinking about it for a while and then someone hit my bumper while parked the other day so now I'm thinking about it more. Watching the install videos I was wondering if we need the cellink or not

Now I'm happy to say all 3 of our cars have a dash cam; Viofo A119, Thinkware X330, and F770. I have a cellink for the F770 unit. Its worth not having the battery drain issue and being able to fully take advantage of the parking mode (time lapse/motion). It's worth having the piece of mind when you're not near your vehicle. |

It is not without faults. It reminds me to format my SD card every two freaking weeks. If I don't, it won't tell me how many incidents were detected or recorded. Another problem is if you are in an area with a lot of radio interference, like a condo or apartment building, wifi doesn't connect. You will have to move to some "quieter" places to connect to the F770. All in all, I still recommend the F770.

Just saw that firmware 1.00.06 is out for the F770. Anyone tried it yet? I'm still running 1.00.03. Not much described in the changelog...

Check your ACC connection, make sure it stops supplying power a few minutes after you turn off your car. If not, find an different fuse that shuts off power after you turn off your car.

also, if you bought it from blackboxmycar with their hardwire kit there was a short time the ACC and +12 wires were reversed. This would not allow it to go into parking mode
