Last sunday evening I encountered a camouflaged BMW on the German Autobahn that looked a lot like a 3GT but with more rectangular exhausts left and right, like those on a M550d or the new X5 M50d.
Guess this might be a diesel M-performance 3GT prototype. Was too dark and went too fast to take a picture with my phone. |

And let me guess, the M3/4 GT will have a tuned V8 for $20,000 more than current M3/4

The 3er GT is sold in all global markets and this is where its success is coming from. Perhaps you would like to visit the F34 thread where we already have a core forum who have purchased that car. The car has been presented to the BMW board this past week. If you like the 3er GT M-Sport then you will like the M3 GT it has been M orientated with broader wheel arches and a similar aero packet albeit slightly amended because of the 3er GT's height. The 3er GT's facia stays the same.

M7 would be awesome..
... and they should make it very awesome by tuning the V12.. it already kicks out 544hp, imagine what M could do with it!? As for the M3GT, I could live with it I guess, I prefer the front of the 3GT to either the Saloon/Tourer, or the 4 series... but I can already imagine the epic tide of complaining that would wash over the forum. |

Give me an M6GC with x-drive all day long! I need a year-round sports saloon from BMW and the non-M cars are too boring in summer but great in winter. I could use more summer fun with a capable winter car.

3 GT in M-sport packet is not that bad but it's a shame that BMW looks at this car as a potential M instead of a M5/M3 touring.

I was shocked that 2 of my friends sold their cars and bought the 5 GT. I think these cars are more popular than we here (enthusiasts) are willing to admit or give BMW credit for.
Or maybe I need different friends? I would LOVE an xDrive ///M car. Of any sort. Offer it in both trims (RWD and xDrive). Damn serious about that. And honestly that is where I see them making a ton of money too. Audi leads the way, AMG followed and BMW insists on sticking it's head in the sand (claiming purist M cars can only be RWD - right X5M?). Meanwhile they continue to whore out the brand and dilute the entire ///M legacy with all kinds of other fender badges, SUV's, diesel cars and other useless stupid shit! Make an xDrive ///M car goddamnit! Uuuuuugh ... Wait, was that a rant? Last edited by Falafel Combo; 12-17-2013 at 01:18 PM.. |

The world does not need an M3 GT. M2 and M4 Gran Coupe are mandatory instead.
BMW starts making no sense lately. Naming the 1 GT a 2-Series, no news on M2 or M4 Gran Coupe and now an M3 GT rumour. It is getting hilarious. Agree about the M7 though. Been long overdue already. V12, 600+hp. |

Sounds to me like someone is trying to sabotage the M division from the inside. What's next, an all wheel drive M3?
