1" wider front and rear would be nice, but for now the stock wheels will do. At some point I do hope to find some very light and wider wheels, but I have not seen any at a reasonable price just yet.

Ira, any update on the new tires? Are they a noticeable improvement over stock? I'm planning on going to 295/35 rears in advance of getting a tune and want to see how much improvement people are seeing with tire changes.

U need 295/30 which I would not revcommend with 10" wheels, but they will have no fitment issues |

That is, the exact same difference in size to stock except the 295/35 is a bit bigger and the 295/30 is a bit smaller. Unless the 295/30 rub (which they likely won't) then the size difference doesn't really matter in terms of the traction system and car. My understanding is you need to stay within 3% +/- of OEM size at 60mph to avoid issues whether you are going slightly larger or slightly smaller. Having said that, I agree that they are too wide for the 10" rear wheel

What I'm suggesting is that 295/30 is also too short by the exact same margin. 295/30 is 14mm shorter than OEM. So, by the same logic, if you went 295/30 you would need to run a different front to maintain the same stagger too. A 315/30 is about as close to OEM height (275/35) as you can get in a 30 profile.

The TPG guys are running 305/35 on stock wheels with no problems. There are several posts here about it, including a track run.

Shorter front means the speedo is off but you end up with more clearance in the fenderwell. |
