Winter Tire Question 2016 M3 Dinan Stage 2
Hey guys! Got rid of my 2014 M5 last summer and picked up a 2016 M3. Was using a set of 409M wheels for winter on my M5. Was looking at the specs and they are almost identical for the M3, just looks like the offset is different? Couldn’t anyone help provide some guidance if I can use these rims and tire combo on my M3? I get it would require spacers? But what size and what not would be amazing?
Any help is highly appreciated. |

The offset is the key. The M5 wheels won't work unfortunately.
And I'm not just saying this cause I'm selling a set of winters for the F80/82/87

Wait, aren't those 409s 20" wheels? That's a bad idea - you want more sidewall and a skinnier tire in the winter.

Spoke with BMW and they believe it’s possible. Would just require spacers. Might need to look more into this. Not worried about side walls etc. I’ve drove these two winters and zero issues.
Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully we can get some more people chiming in. |
