My first M car - 2017 M4 Comp convertible but i think theres a problem??

Hi

I fairly recently purchased a 2017 M4 comp with 11k miles on the clock. The car is close to pristine, good power delivery and very smooth. Its close to stock but with a secondary decat and i have had the GTS/CS firmware flash.

I do however feel like there is an issue with the steering, its not filled me with confidence since day one. The main symptoms are... A delayed feeling when steering left to right from center, for instance if i hold the steering at 12 o'clock then turn left to right say to and from 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock it feels like the nose of the car is following with a slight delay. The next symptom was when lifting off the throttle at speed on a gentle left bend the car will start to shimmy like i have a trailer on the rear thats starting to slide. the shimmy does not go away until i have dropped down to about 40 mph . Its not excessive, but certainly enough to scare you at higher speeds. The last symptom i have is it bump-steers badly! If im on a motorway it will drive in a straight line quite well until it finds a rut / tramline etc then it will try and change lanes without hesitation. it will literally change three lanes to the right in seconds if you allowed it too. IT always goes to the Right, but will drift in both directions when on an even road.

I have just had some new PS4S rear tyres fitted and the fronts are still fairly ok with a few thousand miles left on them. I have had a specialist set up the wheel alignment also.

Since the new tyres and alignment i don't appear to feel the shimmy anymore but the other symptoms are still there. My 2010 astra cdti is easier to drive long distance!

Bmw had a look under warranty and as expected 'Found nothing wrong'

Any help on what to check or what it could be would be most appreciated

OR perhaps a recommended specialist in the north kent / SE London area or close that could have a look?

Many thanks for the help

I cannot comment however why not take another dealer demo for a spin and see if it is noticeably different. If it is tee up a drive of both of the cars on the same day with BMW regional rep.
