About a year ago I had seen a Frozen Sahkir Orange M6 at the local dealer. The paint was much nicer than a wrap. But, I like the idea of being able to change colors and cheaper to fix if damaged.

As for resale value it wasn't an issue. Sold both my previous cars in one day for more than a standard gloss finish.
Did you use any clear bra film, something like Xpel or 3M to protect your paint from road chips etc. also did you get these small scratches after buying groceries ,, people just dump their trolley's after moving their stuff, i always get these small lines from other cars parked near by.

We have done both...here are pros/cons..

OEM Matte
Pros
Looks amazing, a wrap can't touch it
Rare
Could be a + for resale

Cons
Can get damaged/buffed out in spots
If in an accident, major headache to match/get fixed
Could be a - for resale

Wrap
Pros
Easy to add on relatively speaking
Can change wrap
You keep OEM color
Protects OEM Paint

Cons
There will always be some areas that can't be wrapped, you will see the OEM color
Can tear/rip. Depending on the spot can be a headache or not
Matte Wrap does STAIN, once stained, it can't be cleaned.
Removing wrap should not be a headache but can be.

If you do wrap the car, make sure you use quality wrap and a quality installer.

Personally, I would do the OEM Frozen.

Never used any protection products. And always found isolated parking slots. Guess I was lucky. Or over cautious with parking bays. Usually take up 2 if I can or use one with on the end .

How about buying a frozen colour and then having it vinyl wrapped in the same colour? Easier to maintain and after x number of years when you remove the vinyl wrap the car is like new!

Wrap all day, the Frozen paint isn't worth the initial extra cost, along with the maintenance and repair costs.

Go spend the $8k or whatever it is with dealer mark up on a wrap and some mods, you'll be a hell of a lot happier.

Oh and resale on frozen is pretty much no different than a normal color, it actually might be worse in some cases.

In my opinion, Frozen Paint > Matte Wrap.

Frozen paint jobs are not as bad as everyone thinks. The maintenance is fairly easy. Simply use the BMW soap and wash the car once a week and keep a little spray bottle mix of it in the trunk incase of bird droppings or tree sap. Maintaining a black car is far more difficult.

One thing to note is that matching the paint is a major issue... I had several major rock chips on my former Frozen White M5. The rock chips were caused by some service techs that took the car for a extended joy ride (25 miles), as a result the car was at Spectrum Collision for 2 and a half months.

Highly recommend a xpel stealth clear bra on the front if you decide to do a frozen paint.

Trying to correct a matte paint is a PITA. It needs to be painted in an environment with absolutely zero dust as dust particles no matter how small they are cannot be polished out because it would make the matte paint shiny. So often you end up repainting entire panels.

You'd have to really be 199% sure on the frozen color before the build is locked. Unless you wrapped subsequently for a gloss finish lol.
