Congrats! Hopefully we can say problem solved. Btw, PERL 1:1 is recommended for tires, That's why it is more shiny. I applied a diluted 1:2 or 1:3 on the trims and then another time a 1:1 but w a wet sponge.

Thanks guys on your tips for the window seals. Being so thick, they drive me a little crazy as well. I detail my car pretty good, but have fear of putting a lot of product on the rubber.

Will give Opti-Bond a try. You ///M guys aren't the only ones obsessed!

5 day update

Rubber window seal problem? Who? Not me. Both the Opti and PERL are holding up well. No water stains on either post. Again, Aboulfad and dmnc, thanks for your suggestions. I'm thinking I may not do them this Sunday, just to see which holds up longer. But I probably won't be able to resist the urge to re-apply. So far, I'd call it a flat footed tie.

Glad to have helped a fellow fanatic enjoy your nice trims!

I'll get in in this too!
First 2 pics are the molding after washing with just auto wash and DI water. Second 2 are after using Griot's Rubber Cleaner.

Passenger side is Gummi Pledge. Driver's side is Griot's Rubber Dressing. I use this on my tires because it's not too glossy and doesn't fling black spots on my paint. Glossy scale of 1-10 they are both a 8.

I thought you stole my windshield seals for a moment when I saw the 1st 2 pics. I bought the Gummi Pflege, just haven't used it yet. Mine still looked good after washing it Sunday, but couldn't resist the urge to touch them up.

Griots looks glossier on yours?

Just looked again and they are about the same. The Griots is a little bit gritty to the touch. The Rubber Cleaner is key to get the water spots off. I also read dilute vinegar will do the job too. I think I'll stick with Gummi unless you try it and like one of the other 2.

The PERL works great. Try the Einszett Gummi Pflege too. The built in applicator makes it easy to apply, and it lasts about as long.
