Seat Wiring Diagram

Hello,

E92 owner here. I am swapping a set of M4 seats in to my E92. I have talked with a few others who have done this swap and it seems the hardest part is repinning the harness on the M4 seats.

I currently have a wiring diagram for the E92 seats (see attached), but haven't been able to locate one for the M4. I was hoping someone here might have one or have some insight. Most of my confusion revolves around the grey and black harnesses in the attached picture.

Thanks!

I don’t have a wiring diagram handy, but I recently did a seat upgrade in my F80 M3 where I had to do some wiring and can tell you what each plug is:

Blue: Seat airbag
Grey: Seat position sensor (passenger side only)
Black: Seat occupancy sensor (passenger side only)

I assume your pic is of the passenger side seat.

I recently installed F80 M3 seats in my E90 LCI and have not been able to find a wiring diagram for the PASSENGER seat and wondering if you could help me understand which wires control the heated seat, and the power lumber. Neither of which I have been able to get to function on the passenger, though the driver is fine.

The Red/Blue and Brown un plugged wires are a medium size pin which doesn't fit anywhere in the E90 harness. Ugh. Lmk if you have any advice!

Were you able to get the passenger seat fully functional? Power, heat lumbar? If so do you have pictures of how you pinned your E92 harness? I did the F80--->E90 Seat swap and haven't been able to figure out heat and lumbar wiring yet.

I think those wires probably do provide power to control the heat and lumbar based on the wire gauge thickness. However, I believe you still need the F80/F30 passenger seat controller module in order to control those functions in the seat. As control of all seat functions are CAN based, I am not sure how you would be able to integrate the F80 seat control module in the E90. Sorry I could not be much more help….

Do you mind mentioning what you did or followed for the driver side pinout? I'm installing F30 seats in my LCI E90. Appreciate the help.

Were you able to figure this out? Currently trying to get lumbar, heat and bolsters working in my passenger seat as well.
